But I really like his lyrics and his music. I find him unbelieve smart, just wondering if people understand him as well as i do, or just wondering if i understand him.
What do u think he was talking bout it in his songs?

Depression was his demise as that is what lead him to abuse drugs.
Although, it was sd in his Biography that he started dabbling in Heroin because it got rid of his severe stomach pain temporarily. That was probably another factor. | |

Posted: 1/11/2006 11:00:10 AM | People that use various drugs tend to write some crazy stuff that tends to sell like cotton candy, most musicians probably can't write without drugs. But Kurt could make some pretty damn good songs.
I highly doubt the drugs contributed alone. Talent, depression, and drugs tend to bring out the best in lyrical content!
I always loved Nevermind especially Lithium and Come as you are. Depressing songs...haha | |

Posted: 1/11/2006 11:56:53 AM | I saw him in concert around a month before he commit suicide, the concert was less than an hour (around 50 min), and some songs were very difficult to recognise, they did not do a great performance. I was quite close to him and he looked like shit, i mean he looked very sad and unhappy, when i was younger i use to think that i could have make him happy (well he is still my platonical teeneger love), but when i could see reality more clear i realise that noone could make happy kurt. He was so handsome he looked like an angel.
Maybe drugs help him, but when someone is able to see reality the first feeling that it comes is sadness, cos life is quite cruel, and only a clever person can see that. | |

By the way Trev, did you ever seen the "Unplugged" show they did on MTV shortly before his death. You're so right. He looked horrible and sounded pretty bad too. I think that was done just a couple of months before he took his life. | |

I remember wearing nothing but flannel shirts, olive green military jackets ((which we usually purchased at the local Salvation Army)) and jeans with rips, holes, and patches all over them.... I guess unless anyone has ever battled an addiction, they don't know the horrible depression and feelings of hopelessness that a person goes through. Most addicts feel totally alone, even if they're always around other people. I remember reading that Kurt felt exactly like that and was even uncomfortable performing and having the "spotlight" on him many times. I'm sure the drugs had much to do with it.
