I have two favourites that spring to mind:

The incomparable Basil Fawlty - "What did you expext to see from a Torquay Hotel bedroom window?.....The hanging gardens of Babylon perhaps....Herds of Wildebeest sweeping majestically......"

Or Joey from friends - "You don't own a TV? **Looks confused**, well what is your furniture pointed at?"

I love that JOEY line, but his best line is "How you doin'?"

Man I love Joey. I love The whole Friends show, but him and Rachel are my fav.s.

The best song from Phoebe " Smelly cat, Smelly cat what are the feeding you? Smelly cat, Smelly cat it's not your fault."

I nearly died laughing the first time I heard her sing it.

Monica's best line, " HELLO" of course it's not the same without the attitude, but hey what do you expect.

Chandler's best line, " Could you be any more of a clean freak?"

and the best lines from Ross and Rachel

Rachel, " We are SOOOOO over!!!!!"

Ross, " agha agha FINE BY ME!!!!!!!"

OK I just realized I watch way too much Friends. But oh well comedy is the best.

Not exactly a sitcom but what about Barts legendary "Well, ur damned if u do and ur damned if u don't"...how exact!!! I think the British Police could use that line in their motto

The One that always gets me laughiung is from one episode of the Simpsons.... Homer is sitting on the couch eating these pills he got from the new neighbour.... Marge comes in seeing Homer taking the pills and says "Homer, Don't take those pills!" And Homer just looks at her and says... "But Marge... you can never have enough.... Estrogen"

From "Leave it to Beaver"

Ward, the father punished his son Theodore "Beaver" Cleaver. The next morning at breakfast, his wife said, "Ward, you were a little hard on the Beaver last night."

Ok, another slightly off topic quote:
The Adams Family

Halloween is upon the family and they are getting ready to go trick or treating and everyone is dressed in costume except the young daughter:
"Mortisha" or whatever the mothers name is - "Are u not coming trick or treating?"
Daughter - "Of course I am."
"Mortisha" - "But where's ur costume?"
Daughter - "This is it! I'm going as a homicidal maniac, they look just like everyone else!!!"

Actually, I think that's the other chick- the one who's dating cousin It....

At any rate, I still love the line from Gilmore Girls...

Finn: How's it goin', luv?

Logan: We're fine, Finn.

Finn: Logan, I haven't called you luv since that sultry night in Bimini.

My favorite is from a Seinfeld episode in which they are in the Hampton's, George has just gotten out of the pool and been caught with his pants down...shrinkage ya know...and he and Jerry ask Elaine if women know about shrinkage, and if she ever heard of it...

she says...."It shrinks?"

and the then the liine that made me laugh so hard I almost choked...

"I don't know how you guys walk around with those things"

Me either!

I always found this Roseanne line to be hilarious:

Roseanne's mother: "Dan, you shouldn't sleep on your left. It's bad for the heart!"
Dan: "So's a rusty spike."

Oh and this MASH line (not exact, but it gets the point across) when the camp was held under sniper fire:

Hotlips: "What guarantee will you give the women of this unit for the violations of our bodies by the enemy, the possible multiple violations of our bodies?"
Hawkeye: "What sort of guarantee do you want?"

On Roseanne when Dan is talking to DJ about masturbation (it's normal, everyone does it etc) and DJ asks Dan if he does it and Dan replies.....

"Well, that's the thing son ~ everybody does it, but nobody talks about it"........

Seriously funny!

No wonder that women was so uptight.....who wants a 'little hard-on' anywhere near their beaver.

this is one of the funniest lines from M*A*S*H yet

Frank: We can't be lost.
Hawkeye: We are Frank. I've been lost before and this is exactly what it looks like.

heres another funny quote from M*A*S*H

Klinger: For today, after breakfast in the bunk, maybe you could wheel me over to the club and throw some darts.
Charles: What?
Klinger: Throw darts. Of course, a brainy guy like you might find that boring and I wouldn't dream of asking you to stay. So feel free to come back here, maybe inventory supplies, even barnish the floor.
Charles: Max, there is a fine line between good samaritan and abused totting. At the moment, I am teetering on the presivice.
Klinger: You are absolulely right. I'm a fair man. The floor can wait till tomorrow.
