such a thing of beauty
sleeping lady next to me
serene
surreal
breathe
in...
out...
eyes flutter...
my heart flutters too...
And she wakes and the dream is over.
My dream...
Or hers...

Nothing

i like to......

get down

to nothing.

have nothing - feel nothing.

for some reason it's always felt better that way.

Unable to keep things.......
..........unable to stay still;

Accumulation depreciates me.

I have no permanent place for these things;

They lay around........

..............waiting for me to pick them up;

wanting to be put away..........

Trying to find their place in me .......so that I am easily within their reach.

These few things I have;

They are my attempt at possibly nothing......

but I think,.......

maybe, ............

something.

- me

****"Thir fo Yaw" (way of right)****

A path through the maples stops at a ledge

We stand on the edge

Looking at the specs below

Near vertical wall of snow

Don't think

Just go!

Any guesses on what inspired this?

That sounds like a poem inspired by freeriding. That takes me back. Haven't been on a snowboard in ages.

Skiing actually... but close and like I say.."a snowboard IS a ski".

It describes the leap of guts that we often must take in many of lifes little battles.

Years ago, a friend and I were standing on the edge of the "explosion" at Wentworth for the first time (maritimes steepest MARKED ski run). This guy flew by and yelled "don't think..just GO!!" and he zigged down like nothing. So we just went for it without thinking and did pretty good. My friend fell though but it was funny.

The title "TGHIR FO YAW" is actually posted on a sign off the Station road on the other side of the valley.

Do haiku count? I know it's not 100% proper haiku but I wrote it from the heart for someone who will always be extraordinarily special to me.

Eyes of emerald
Unclouded window to soul
Warmth radiates out

Roses are blue.
Violets are red.
If you agree,
You've got rocks in your head.

kurifu, Wednesday and testpilot

I guess you prooved me wrong. There are bad poems. So in keeping with the bad poem theme...

love is a nose but you better not pick it
it only grows when u tell a lie
a hand full of boogers and you know you've missed it
a little heart broken but at least you tried.

I don't expect to make money off my poetry, it was designed to be shared from day one otherwise.... whats the point?

I could make money off them someday
I've been told I should
Regardless, someone else shouldn't

Wrote this on a bathroom wall in high school...wow the talent eh?

Sitting on the toilet reading the walls...
Having a shit and having a ball

Then I saw Tammy wrote I was a slut
I wiped my ass and kicked her butt!

I just thought I would share this one that I wrote for my daughter Amber.

Angel Wings

I held her tight
Close in my arms
My sweet, perfect baby.
I touched her soft skin,
And placed a tender kiss on her cheek.
Those tiny hands,
That sweet, small nose.
Her hair so soft,
Those little ears so perfect.
Such an Angel.
I held her close
As tears slid from my eyes onto her still lips
I could hear my heart break,
As I heard her Angel Wings unfold.

"There once was a man from Nantucket...
Who ate shi tloads of beans from a bucket...
When much later that night...
He expressed with some fright...
I tried to stop a fake fart but said fuc kit!
