It's Election Day. Don't forget to get out there and vote. Remember, if you don't vote, you don't get to complain about the current government.

Does anyone have any last thoughts before heading to the polls?

Well, I hope we can beat our regular low turnout, but I doubt that will be the case. Places like Finland get an 85 percent turn out regularly, and our best EVER was something like 69 percent ( not sure of the exact figure).

The only other hope, no matter who wins, is that we can all work together to bring this country to where it should be. That will take all of us, and let's hope we are all up to it.

who ever thought that one up anyhow?.......and if people actually stuck to that then no Canadian in here should be commenting on the US government....

Well, perhaps if it was changed to " if you have a right to vote in this election, and don't vote ".

A fifteen year old could complain all he wanted, and no one could really blame him. The same could be said of a foreigner, who also has that right.

Sadly, not many Americans are really aware of the dynamics and the parties involved to make comments. That's too bad really. It would have been nice to hear their views.

Well all I know is what I've heard. Martin and all the scandals and Harper is a lier. Martin spent millions on Canadians gun control which hasn't helped. Harper said Canada should help in the war in Iraq but then he said he didn't say it. This is all I know.

^^^....there's one that you overlooked.....the NDP...Jack Layton is the leader....a socialist party.....he's asking the voters to lend him their vote......like he's going to return it....

I voted first thing this morning.

It would be just great if we could have a large voter turn out all across the country. In most of the country, the weather is mild for January, so perhaps, just perhaps, more people WILL vote.

I'm sorry folks but its my opinion that they all make promises they just don't keep. They are all out for themselves and could care less about the people that vote them in.

Well, I voted and it was a great experience. I live in a very multi-ethnic working class area, and it was great to see people of all colours and nationalities getting involved with the democratic process.

I felt a little like Chris on Northern Exposure, taking it all in with pride and wonder.

Some of these people probably came from lands not so long ago that never allowed them to express their voice, and now they are free to.
