| Does any guy hate the phrase Sweep me off my feet like i do? Posted: 1/24/2006 9:22:28 PM | | Not at all. I believe its the guys place to do his best to "treat his woman like a queen" and to "sweep her off her feet", I enjoy being "her knight in shinning armor". If you cant do everything in your power to make the person your into happy, then you dont deserve to be with that person. Same for vice versa, the ladys should have the same attitude for the men. What do you expect, that you can just sloth around, put out know effort, and expect your lady to kiss your feet, cook your dinner, and just shut up untill you decide you want something? | |

And maybe they've been with the wrong men for so long, doting on their man's every whim without getting anything in return that they are finally trying to get some of their own needs met. Granted there are some extremely selfish women that just want their needs met, but there are also many men the same way. Believe it or not, there are some of us who just adore catering to our men, but we need to get our "batteries recharged" by some reciprocal attention...

Posted: 1/25/2006 4:21:50 PM | | I hear what you're saying, but I think that a lot of women (girls) that use this expression just want a little chivalry and maybe have been in relationships where the guys were somewhat dumpy or disinterested in showing proper courtesy. That being said though I don't care too much about hearing it said in those words. Too cliche. Even strong independent women who like these romantic notions usually have enough sense to avoid those words (if they're over 20) but hey, at least you know probably wouldn't hit it off with them anyway. Its just a stinkin shame that so many of them look good. Goes with the territory.
