The only thing that I suppose might have made me lie about my age was if i found some one just after my last birthday and I had just past there age cut off | |

Posted: 1/27/2006 3:33:16 PM | I don't know why anyone lies about anything on their profile! It just doesn't make sense to me. If they're here to connect with someone, lying is going to be found out as soon as they meet.
The funniest one I had here was a guy that, when I turned him down for being too young, emailed me back and asked if it made any difference in that he had lied about his age. Needless to say, I still turned him down, the second time for lying!! | |

i'd have an upper age limit of say 34..
and i'd start talking to a guy on msn and a couple weeks later i'd forget his age and ask him again...
and he'd say like..39.
i'd be like WOAH.. what?
i'd check his pof profile and it would say something like 31, once it said 29 and he told me in msn chat he was 37
i do not have very much in common with a 39 year old..and if i do, then i'm concerned.
(and that is my own personal opinion)
usually when women lie about their age they make themselves younger..not older..lol...

perhaps he tried to fix it & the system would not allow it
perhaps the guy looks & feels much younger
perhaps everyone tells him he looks 37.... numbers are statistics lie
meet them check them out time tells all, life is not a number or a hairstyle or a bank account.
I know cuz i am the guy & all the above is true.

Posted: 2/9/2006 2:56:01 PM | I actually met a guy who's profile said 52 and then on the second meeting admitted to 59. His reason was that when he posted his real age, he was approached by women that were too old for him. I can see his point. I would not have agreed to meet him if I knew his true age. Anyway we are still friends and he recently got married.
Unfortunately age is not just a number when it comes to relationships. I ventured into a relationship with a much older man (20 years older). He treated me like I was a treasure. At first it was fun, but after a couple of months as we got to know each other better I began to feel like I was dating my Dad. I know of couples with a great age difference that have been happy for many years...it's just not for me. I want the truth so I can decide for myself.

Now that I am getting older, I am stuck with most of my friends thinking I am 4 years older than I am.

They dont feel like anyone would want them for who they are now. Its a self confidence thing. Maybe hes trying to attract younger women? But alot of women like older guys anyway.
