Whisper in the yard and turn the trees all into toys. Lay there on the ground an turn the dirt into your joy. From what I see and what I know, it's all been boring lately. So I suggest we trade a question mark in for a maybe. Time your riddles right and make a point that has no sense. Make sure that you're smiling and the money's been well spent. Innocence and ignorance it all goes hand in hand. I'm not sure that i'm right but I hope you'll understand. I hope that your still searching for the start that has no end, and all the plastic people have now become your friends. Before you start to drift and your soul begins to scream. I just wanted to tell you that you're listening to a dream. Shinedown 2005.

The beginning forward to this album makes sense if you read into it. I am looking for my start that has no end. Are there any good women out there who feel the same? I hope so for I have a lot to bring to the table. Let me in on your dream.

Well, that certainly says so much. I must be in a similar frame of mind, for here I am having it sink it fully. There are women that feel that way as well. I have a mind that works in overdrive. It rarely seems to shut off. I do try to keep the positive side of me going, but every once in a while I just let my thoughts drift and wander.

Now, I have something I haven't shared for a time now. For some reason, my mood is just in a certain frame of mind today. It is not meant to be dark and gloomy, so I hope no one takes it as such. However, when evening hits and I realize that it is like so many other evenings before it....well, this seemed appropriate.

==========
==========
Dreaded Evening

This place is meant to be warm
It’s to be a safe haven
This place which is now gloomy

This place is meant to signify comfort
It’s to be a wonderful evening escape
This place which is now uninviting

This place is meant to be shared by two which are bonded
It’s to be a delight
This place which is now so empty

This place which I now have learned to loathe
It’s become my nothing
This place which is now so cold

This…my Dreaded Evening

---------------------------------------

Wow, I haven't even glanced at that for a long time. I wrote it one very long evening going through a difficult time yet alone as usual. So, please don't read into it more than what is actually written. It was simply what it is...nothing more.

To all the people reading this. It is not a pick-up line it is a revelation that I was trying to share with the people on this site. I am a romantic who happens to love music of all kinds and when I find something that clicks I want to let the world know but mostly I used to share my compassion with my wife but she is gone and I really am ready to start something that has no end. If you read into what Shinedown meant in there poem you will understand that.

I'm now curious. You had people think that was a pick-up line? I tend to be more of a romantic individual, and I saw it strictly as something very romantic/poetic.

I guess I'm very surprised anyone saw it as a pick-up at all. (Sitting here very surprised by that!)
