I only find these type of girls attractive, and they are the only ones that understands me.
is this strange? but I don't just go for looks, but also their personality, because some are not nice to talk to.
I live in england, and can anyone tell their experiences of living with asian boyfriend/ girlfriend in England? | |

Posted: 1/19/2005 11:14:22 AM | When we say 'Asian', of course we're generalizing. If I were to narrow it down, my preference would be Korean. I'm not sure how I came to this realization, but not too long ago I thought to myself "Wow! Korean women are incredibly beautiful!" (And of course that too is a generalization, since I'm sure there's gotta be one or two who are not.)

Posted: 1/19/2005 3:49:27 PM | Asian girls are simply hot. As stated before they have that whole "Mystique" thing but in the long run, I hope your not black, you'll be looked at as a leper! Now you might be a lucky one, but in my experience with Asian women(Chinese, Thai, Japanese) I was treated like a Leper. I'm not holding that against them, some people have racial preferences, no biggie!!

we attempted to find a 'theory' as to why (generally speaking) 'white' men are attracted to 'asian' women, however, 'white' women are not attracted to 'asian' men. but... 'white' women are attracted to 'black' men, but 'white' men are not attracted to 'black' women.... but came up empty handed. the only thing that was somewhat credible was perhaps it was based on our cultural/gender socialization and our perceived ideology of what that gender/culture make up might offer...
should ask desmond morris though? | |

Posted: 1/19/2005 6:58:46 PM | Don't know what it is, but I've had better "luck" in the past with Asian ladies. All 2 of my ex-girlfriends were of Eastern descent - one Vietnamese/Chinese, the other was a Filipino.
If dating were baseball, I'd be batting in the neighbourhood of .333 (getting a date) with Asians, while with Caucasians, I'm holding a great big goose egg. As to why that is, I don't know. Personally, I've found that attraction can occur across all race lines (although I myself have never found myself attracted to a black woman though).

It is also the fact that I am very interested in different asian cultures (especially Japanese culture) and that with someone who was white, black or hispanic might not understand or accept that part of me. Just try playing some j-pop music in your car on a date or offer them some kimchee at your house and see what kind of looks you get from someone who's non-asian or at least not open minded to that kind of music/food. So I've been in relationships with only asian women because not only do I find them attractive but I can share in there culture as well. | |

The kicker, the male who was looking his mail order bride was so shocked to learn that the only thing about me WAS my appearance and nothing more. I was not quiet shy nor submissive nor had ANY desire to be his um 'kinky' sex slave er sorry housewife/maid!  Sometimes yas just gotta watch out for those guys!

For starters, she was half Thai, half Cambodian, though she often denied the Cambodian part, saying that some consider them more 'simple country people'. In general terms, she had a great value system and we both shared a family first attitude regarding children. She was very kind, well-mannered and also an excellent cooking teacher. I say this because it seems no one my age can cook anymore. I disagreed with her spending foolishly on Baby Gap clothes, but she said 'only the best for OUR kids if we have some', which maybe I could go along with. She had a very dynastic view of family, and felt that the oldest members of her clan should be very well gifted at Christmas. Her parents were well off, while she and her brothers were stuggling to give them very extravagant gifts. She also had a very foolish attitude generally regarding money, including gambling at the dogtrack (bad for dogs too!). I found it difficult at times when I could not understand her family when they spoke in Thai, and that took some getting used to. Regarding black people, she said she would never consider dating them, citing a racial hierarchy with whites and Asians at the top. She said "don't you think they (blacks) are like monkeys with their faces and everything." (I disagreed, the best lover I have ever had was a black girl.) In sum, she was a great friend, and made me realize how important family was to me. I hope these insights are helpful to someone out there, sorry about the long post:) | |

Jing Mei was talking with Pratt and she turned to him and said 'but you're not chinese' - as in you wouldnt understand.
Different cultures bring people together - but only if you're open minded - I must admit, there's not as many who could be out there. Growing up in Toronto made me realize something. Its THE most culturally diverse and tolerant city I've ever been to (yes, perhaps a bit biased too?) Ive mainly travelled throughout North America by car but I mean tolerant some cities were yes - but not as welcoming as TO. Odd?

There is a totally different atmosphere between Caucasians and Asians
in Asia than anywhere else I always used to think that friendliness shown was
because they wanted me to take them back to Australia
But Ive found they are quite happy in China or Indonesia and just want to be seen
with a Caucasion
