| Does Anyone Else Get Depressed On Or Around Their Birthday?
Posted: 2/1/2006 6:39:27 PM | Ha - I usually forget when my birthday is, let alone be bothered by it! But I can see that it could be a bit of a drag, especially if you don't have plenty of friends and family around to celebrate with. So yeah, probably is normal.

It'll turn around the way you look at birthdays, and you won't be able to wait for the next one! Go skydiving or visit mexico... whatever takes your fancy. It's party time!!!  | |

| Does Anyone Else Get Depressed On Or Around Their Birthday?
Posted: 2/1/2006 7:18:13 PM | I was taking time off during my b-day in my previous job, but I can't do that right now.
I guess I feel like I should be doing something, but I don't know what to do.
Maybe it's because I don't feel like many people care.
I think I started to not like my b-day around the time my grandpap died. His b-day was the day before mine. After he died, it didn't feel as special anymore.
I don't want to tell anyone I work with that it's my b-day because I'll end up getting dragged to a strip joint.  I try to stay outta those places.
And of course I'm getting older. I'll be 32..  Yay. Still don't feel like I'm going anywhere. | |

because it wasn't such a big
deal for anybody else but me.
I'll be 44 at the end of the
month so I'm planing to head
to Reno, Nevada and hang out
there for a few days.
After all, a birthday is your
day, do whatever makes YOU happy.

Posted: 2/2/2006 6:44:54 AM | Yeah, I've had birthdays that have really depressed me.......turning 31, that was not good.
But since I now just had my 33rd BD on Monday - no biggie - just a number. And most people seem pretty suprized when I tell them how old I am (they always think I am WAY younger), so I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the family genes 
I think the best thing to do is not to dwell on it and go out and have a really good time to celebrate (that's my plan this Saturday! ) So for those of you living in TO and heading to Shmooze this Saturday - I'll be the crazy girl on the dance floor making a fool of herself!

Posted: 2/4/2006 11:58:06 AM | Yeah, people are usually surprised that I'm 31. I used to hate looking young for my age. When I was 18, I looked like was 13. :) I didn't like to shave because having facial hair made me look older.
Now I embrace my boyish looks. | |

Posted: 9/26/2006 4:29:43 AM | Ya sometimes....because I start reflecting and it's like great....another year. What have I accomplished that is so great? I start panicking because it makes me that much closer to 30 and I realize that everyone around me is popping out babies like crazy and on second and third marriages and I'm here just working and paying the bills, seemingly with not a care in the world........but alas that is not true.
My birthday just passed by last week and I worked, then the weekend I worked.....after anticipating for a couple weeks before I just forgot about it when it came around.
Now as a kid, heck no I relished it and reminded people...hey it's my birthday dont forget....of course I didn't go as far as some people I know and that was to make a list of things I wanted......that was just plain ghetto......lol | |
