what do woman consider average weight?

I don't mean to be predjudice. I like all woman, except that I have to be attracted to her looks to have more than a friends relationship. When Put "Few extra pounds" does not attract me in my profile, woman were e-mailing, saying average, than to find out they are 200+. I took that part out, now i have "REAL AVERAGE" telling me they are few x-tra. attractive woman. yes, beauty comes from with-in, to be intimate, you must be attracted to your partner out. how does a 200 pound person think they are average at 5' anything?

I often wonder the same thing about men, jmille23!
I've met some men on here who consider themselves either 'Average' or even 'Athletic' whose boobs were bigger than mine. I agree with you on the attraction part, if I don't find fat attractive, I just don't. I don't have to apologize for that.
When I say 'A Few Extra Pounds', I mean I'm 10 - 15 lbs over what I think I shoud be.

I agree. I have noticed that since I took that "no few x-tra pounds" off my profile, I have gotton alot more resonses from "real" attractive, average woman that think they are "few X-tra" and not. Although, if I get much more replies from the "fat" that think they are average, I will need a wide screen moniter. LOL

i don't think it is just women, j. i think too many of us see just what we want to see in the mirror. i've had the same experience. new to this site, but others can list their body types as
"athletic" and if you consider sumo wrestlers athletes then it is true.
there's someone for everyone, but we have to add some realism. when i'm contemplating what you want in a mate, i have to real enough to ask myself "now, that we know what i want, what would this fantasy woman want? do i measure up? after all, if you, as i
still believe in finding "the one" shouldn't her needs and expectations be met too.
if not, then i understand there is a company in chicago that markets a very realistic doll that one can pleasure oneself with
after all, sex can last maybe an hour or so a day. whatcha gonna do with her the other 23 hours?

I've learned the hard way to watch out for fuzzy web cam pics, espectially close ups that cut off the chin or those lying down facing you with hands on chin shots and don't forget there's photoshop out there too and I just love seeing a 7 to 10 year old date in the corner of a picture, get real and show who you are, you might get dates but you won't get lucky

Its a good thing that you took the "no few x-tra pounds" thing off of your profile, because you might scare a lot of the good ones away! For a time, I had my profile set to a few extra pounds, because to me, I am a few extra pounds overwieght, considering I am supposed to weigh like 115 to be at my ideal weight. I am just saying that even women who are thin or average, might think that you are shallow and may be the type to critisize them. They may have some insecurites because of the way society makes women apear. So hopefully you have better luck now! I guess you just kinda have to weed out the bad ones...or write in your profile something along the lines of; I take care and pride in myself and my body and I want a woman who is the same and shares an active lifestyle also! Good luck..I think you will find someone you are completely attracted to..your very handsome!

well i think the better question would be what do men think average weight is! lol

everyone has different opinions and or views what the perfect, average, few extra lbs, and big but beautiful is! i had my body type set at average for the longest time till i saw a recent picture of my, at a bad angle but still, i thought wow i am bigger then i thought i was! i still do not think of myself as fat or chubby, just need to tone away some of that extra weight i gained with my second pregnancy. it has been 7 months but that stuff just does not fall off! lol!

btw the picture on my profile are current but they are taken at my good angle and i knew they were going to be taken!

Jmille,
Dude you rock! any how an average weight woman...Yeah thats a funny one,ask your self how many times have you heard this line "Does this make me look fat?"
Hell I get called skinny all the time but the fact is I am the ideal weight for my height on all the health charts,I work out 4-5 times a week, and for some fat ass that can find every excuse to not work out and take care of themselves....F-U!!!!
The thing is I have met soo many girls that claim the "average" ...What In FAT CAMP?!!
why lie your in shape...to eat another cheese burger! I feel,If your here to meet some one why try to decive some one with glamor pictures, Cuz the bottom line is when it comes time to meet in real life, the truth will hurt you,and you'll be back sitting on the bench,hurt...why because you did it to your self! GET OUT AND BE ACTIVE LADYS! AND STAY ACTIVE! finding the "one" then letting your self go....no one want to slap the waves!

Average weight is a body mass index of 18.5 - 24.9. It's easy to figure out. I'm seeing a lot of honest responses on here. It's true, overweight is not attractive and I've seen a lot of profiles that claim average body weight when they are nowhere near it. Let me get this off my chest, we were not intended to eat all of this garbage that people eat on a regular basis. Fast food, excessive amounts of red meat, soda, etc. We should eat to live, not live to eat. I also agree about pictures that are misleading. I've met people online that looked nothing like their photographs, it's very disappointing.

Lostartwork.......Remember we are not here to bash overweight people.......and i am sorry for doing it myself!
Some people can't help it cause of thyroid problems etc.......The point is to the people that do build themselves into something they are not on here.....but again...maybe to them they are average, even if i don't understand how they think it. Yeah, and don't lie about it...it is terrible when you excpect something other than what you end up meeting and can piss you off. Now you have a hurt person and a pissed off person. All because of a lie.

"Average weight" depends on height someone who weighs 210 and is 5'2 is not average for them. someone who weighs 210 and is 6'2" is pretty average. I'm sorry people mislead you under false pretense, but maybe they're hoping that if you really like them enough you'll look past it. IF they are insecure about their weight...I know I've done it a couple times in my life..Not on here mind you. I find that if a person is very confident about themselves (which is a good thing) they might think that how they look at they're weight is average. I don't think they're necessarily trying to fool you, but that's what they think about themselves.

Hey J
I Asked myself that question because i found in browsing P O F that the problem arose that there are way to many people out there that think they are average , so i looked up a body mass index chart and it seems to sum it up to be a good guideline to what is average , here is the link , hope some peoople read this and accurately list themselves on plenty of fish

http://nhlbisupport.com/bmi/bmicalc.htm

you can either click on it or copy and paste in a new window ! lets hope that men and women find the time to list themselves properly

I think that all people think of themselves in a way others may dont see. If you are happy from within that is all that matters, just make sure the person knows your not a "small" person when you meet. I know I went ona date one time with a guy that on his profile he described himself as an Athletic Build. When I arrived at the restraunt he was inside already and I sorta recognized him... He was atleast 300 pounds and I left. I felt bad about it for a long time but then I was thinking to myself noway I shouldnt feel bad that was a total lie he told and I cant even be friends with a liar! Everyone just needs to be who they are because truly their is someone for everyone out there!

It is important for people to be happy from within, however it is also important that you like what you see in the mirror. If you like yourself well enough to be able to stand naked in your living room and not be embarased if the neighbor walked by, then you are just the right size for you. If you can't do that, then fix it.

Everyone is too worried about trying to be and date the "perfect" person. U know the type i mean, the movie star perfect 10 type. I myself am not where i should be weightwise, yet i still consider myself "average". Now, i might be wrong on this point(heaven knows i've been wrong before). Anyway, i'm 5'3 and i weigh around 170-175. When i tell people this, they imagine shamu, but what they don't take into consideration is that i work in a factory that requires alot of manual labor. Sure, alot of my weight is due to stubborn fat, but there is also alot of muscle underneath. I am considered healthy(even with being at least 40 pounds over) by my family doctor. So, we need to stop judging people by what they write as far as their body type, and see for ourselves in person what they look like, because like what was stated earlier, pics can be deceiving.

but if you think of the world at this time and place, exspecialy Americans, the average person is about 15 to 20 pounds over weight! so should we think of the "ideal" person as average the ones that look like those 110lbs 5'8'' movie star of today or the typical person of thi century. the ones that more resemble the actresses of yesteryear, like Marilyn Monroe. If so, I am the same size as Marlilyn with the also most the same measurements! but i do have my body type set as a few extra pounds because i would like to lose those extra pounds to be what i feel woul be average for me.

You are not prejudice at all. The key here is honesty, point blank, plain and simple.... Nothing to debate.... Be honest people as you would expect people to be with you. Or watch out for what comes back to you in the end. Sorry to be so blunt, but black is black and white is white.
Here is a site to check what the average is for a persons height.... male or female: http://www.healthchecksystems.com/heightweightchart.htm
It gives you a general idea.
Good luck to all out there. Make it a great day...It's all up to you

how hard is it to be honest with yourself ????????

how hard is it to be honest with someone you may want to date ?????

here is the link , give it a try and be honest !! post it and see where it gets you , maybe you might lern something , and if your happy the way you are be honest about it post it and the right person may come along looking for you with out deception ! !

http://nhlbisupport.com/bmi/bmicalc.htm

my score turned out to be 23.7

if some one is looking for a 30 i am not the guy

if some one is looking for an 18 they will keep looking

see how simple it can be , to bad they don't add this link to the site to determine body type , maybe the would be no misrepresentation

Oh crap.......gotta go change the profile now........

Seriously folks.......post a full body pic and make it a new one. That way people know what they're getting. Obese, is simply obese!! Some folks like that too....so it's all good whatever you are?

Responding to the BMI index...

It can be useful, but it's really general. It doesn't take into account muscle weight as opposed to fat weight, so it doesn't apply evenly to everybody. When I was doing college sports, I was between 2-3% body fat but at 6'1 and 190 I was overweight, and when I got to a healthier body fat %, I was damn near obese by the BMI standards.

That said, I agree with the posters above who point out the shortsightedness of being deceptive about your body type. And it goes for both guys and girls. I'm overweight now, and as much as I'd like to claim average, it's not worth wasting the time. Might as well be honest about it.

I would consider average weight porportionate to height give or take 15 lbs.. a Few extra lbs would be in the 15- 40 lb over height porportion..... anything beyond that is well FAT. Myself I am about 40 lbs over what I consider to be my ideal weight.... Which is the weight I am used to being, not what I am now. Funny thing is, I do not look as heavy as I weigh lol.. So do I mislead someone saying I am average? Nawwww I would rather prepare them for the worst and hope for the best lol......
