Posted: 3/22/2006 5:14:40 PM | Palan is a nickname, as people thought I looked and sounded like Alan Partridge. Alan, Alan Partridge, Alan P, Palan... Please feel free to tell me I don't look like him. It helps me sleep at night :) Palan has since been shortened to Paz.
The squirrel.. some people decided if I was an animal I would be a sqirrel and that stuck... yay me.
Pasty, as I once invited someone to a 'pasty' instead of a 'party'... damn predictive text!
Chocolate Dave, as I always have at least 1Kg of chocolate in my hosue, and I have been known to invite people round for food and then present them with 4 different chocolate deserts. They usually feel ill by the end of it hehe.

Closest friends call me Daz or DJV (my DJ name and also my initials).
Randoms that know me clubbing call me Oxy (i take clubbing photos for a website and Oxymoron is my username - was also my DJ name for a while)
At school in my younger years i got called Jo-90 as i had white londe hair and specs, and a bit of a smartarse
In secondary school i got called Slam dunk Darren for a while... We had a hard a*** PE teacher who was straight out of the marines. Well i hated football and most normal sports but he was forever trying to get me involved, he hated the fact that i was only into basketball and judo, both run by other teachers. Judo classes happened to be straight after my PE lesson and he was forever taking the piss out of Judo making it out to be in some way sissy. One day the class was kept behind for a bit but i was allowed to set up the mats etc, well he started taking the piss again but this time in front of most of my school year... think i became a man that day cos i turned round and took the piss back. e stepped onto the mats and came up close and said "So what would you do if...".....WHACK i threw him over my shoulder making sure my whole weight fell on him and said "...not let you finish your sentence!" and promptly SHAT MYSELF...but to my surprise he stood up laughing, whcked me on the back and told the rest of the class they could go. Seemed to have a new found respect for me after that, even though i'd never wanna find myself down a dark alley with the guy lol.
