Mabey it goes back to childhood
Mabey these women were never spanked and thusly making it a fo pa(i wish i could spell that right)
Or mabey they were spanked as a kid and was told sex is a bad thing and thusly making the sexual act of spanking there 100% personal paradise
or mabey the aboved mention theroy is in but they see "by getting spanked during this incounter" is to justify that they did it
Kinda like crime and punishment
I dont really know just throwing some things out in left feild.

Spanking has been around for as long as I've been having sex,
so I don't believe it's a fad.I just think women are being more
outspoken & experimental in the bedroom. It's just another
"spice" to add to the sexual mix. Some like it,some don't.I say
don't knock anything til you try it.

OK, first the disclaimer: Pain has no place in my bed and the thought of actually being spanked makes me go "Ewww."

But Psychology and Physiology are my fields of training so here's some input.

Evolutionary Theory: There is a theory that sexual excitement from spanking is a hindbrain response to the rapid and repeated impact of flesh against the female's rump -- the same as occurs when she is mounted from behind (think "caveman" sex). It helps to remember that sexual excitment/orgasm increases lubrication which helps the sperm get to the egg. Women who become excited by that sensation may have had more children who carried the gene set for getting excited from spanking, and so forth down the generations.

Modern Psychology: Part of the excitement of domination/bondage is due to perceived "release of control"...many people are sexually excited by the idea of being completely under another's control. There is also an adrenaline rush in the possibility of danger or physical risk in these situations. Spanking and other usually "unwanted" behavior/punishment is a classic demonstration of control over a submissive partner.

Physiology: The act of being struck induces the "fight or flight response" -- a cascade of physiological reactions that release both adrenaline and endorphins. Adrenaline triggers "excitement" and endorphins make the brain "feel good" (so it can ignore pain and still run or fight). The person involved has learned to channel this response from spanking into a feeling of sexual excitement.

Hope that helps answer your question!

If done at the right time in the right way...spankings are a huge turn on. I like a man who can tell when to take control and be a little rougher. When I'm losing control is a very good time

If done at the wrong time (before I'm lost in the moment) or in the wrong way (hurtful): a big turn off.

another theory about spanking is that the redness that ensues on the woman's butt after being spanked simulates the condition of a female primate in heat.

Female humans lost the outward appearance of being in heat in contrast to say female chimpanzees when in heat have a very red looking swelled rump.

I'm just curious as to the draw and appeal of it. Is it part of a light domination fetish? Or is it the light s&m that turns you ladies on by it?

For me,it's just another "spice" to add & I find many men love doing the spanking.
Not just for the sensation but have you ever spanked your woman while inside her?
The muscles tighten, therefore making that pleasurable to the man.I suppose it's a
sub/dom thing for both females & males.

OP-sorry if it sounded like I was refering to you about not knocking it.It was a
general statement, not directed at you hon.

Which type of spanking are you talking about ?
The formal, bend over and take your punishment spanking ?
Or the exited butt slap which may occur durring intercourse ?
It's 2 different things.

i just think it's silly. period. Now, i'm all for 'roleplaying' but i'm not the kind of person to get turned on or excited by spanking when i'm NOT roleplaying.

There are multiple levels of interest within the spanking realm. From a very basic standpoint there is erotic and discipline spanking, but within each of those catagories lurks the gray area for things like roleplay, a mix of discipline and eroticism, etc. It is ultimately up to each person and each couple to curtail the possibilities to their own desires.

Personally, I don't catagorize a spanking interest with the BDSM world for one major reason - motivation. The core concept of the BDSM world is sexual gratification out of sado-masochistic interactions. I see spanking as an action of affection, regardless of whether it is sensual or discipline in nature, and thus, not a part of the BDSM world.

Some people choose to tangle in spanking on a very casual level and others in a much more complex sense. You must remember regardless of how you choose to incorporate the activity into your life to have honest communication between your partner and yourself, though, as there are issues of trust and emotion involved.

As far as why some people harbor this particular interest...I obviously can't project any conclusions other than my own. For me, spanking between partners (never parental in any sense) has always been a point of interest for me, particularily as I started dating and such. It is essentially a core part of my personality, which in introverted analysis, would make a great deal of sense. I am by nature extremely assertive, strong-willed, opinionated, stubborn, intense, passionate, and in control. I work in an industry that is highly competetive and again, am very often the one calling the shots. Thus, in my personal life, I desire a relationship dynamics that allows me to not be in control and a guy that, if need be, will give me a reality check to release that control. I need a guy who can meet my fire with his own all the way from the intellectual realm to purely confident enough to upend me on occassion. But, that is just me...My guess, though, would be that women in general who lead high stress and in control lives are probably more likely to desire some form of spanking in their private lives as it gives an outlet for release, but I'm certainly not qualified to make that a definitive statement.
