Posted: 2/17/2006 5:45:18 PM | sex was seen to be so dirty in the late 1800's to early 1900's we are not that many generations removed from this type of thinking. This was ONLY a little over 100 years ago!
YET here we are today in the millinium woman are much more open as is sex on the whole......There are not so many What we would call Taboo's.......in society as there was 100 yrs ago.
How things have changed how do you think the world will be in another one hundred yrs regarding sex....I know a majority of us probably will not still be here but just curious as to your thoughts. | |

Or, we could see people having sex with man-made, AI type beings. I'm guessing you'll be able to buy the humanoid that has all the physical characteristics you most desire and is programmed to perform all the sexual activities that most turn you on.
For me....I will be ordering the model that screams abusive words to me in german while I do house work in a school girl's outfit and .......forget it....I've said too much already. | |

Just about every societal change that relates to sexuality can be traced back to one event... the introduction of the pill. Women didn't have anywhere near the control of their reproduction before then, and since the 60's and 70's... attitudes to sex haven't really changed that much more. We're all sick **stards, and the proliferation of porno and the internet has made that much more clear, but in terms of actual changes? I think they're over. If AIDS and all the other STD's get cured and wiped off the map... that might lead to another shift, but I don't see that happening. | |

As for just pushing a button for erotic stimuli or electronic controlled orgams i don't think that would be a good thing for romance at all.....I agree though it would not surprise me in the least......Someone started a thread earlier today about chivalry being dead.....I don't beleive it is.......But the way this world is changing and so fast it does make you think. | |

I remember when it was the BIG thing to get to hold hands, or put your arm around the shoulder, and if you got a kiss that was the ULTIMATE!! You would float home on a fluffy white cloud and walk around in a trance like state for days.
Today there is so much performance anxiety and pressure to SCORE that it is ruining the very principles of romance. It's almost like the only brain cell that is functional is the one that says SEX SEX SEx...never mind the person or who they are. | |
