Of sliding down the mountains on slants of wood,
and how the neighbors would come and join the
fun
I REMEMBER THE THRILLS
Of escaping into the mellow jungle when we knew
we were in trouble, and would wait for the coast
to be clear
I REMEMBER THE LAUGHTER
Of how we gathered around with boredom telling
jokes, unknowingly gaining a bond and getting
along
I REMEMBER THE FREEDOM
Snorkling for fish at the nearby beach, buring
eachother in the salty sand, just knowing we were
free
But most of all, I remember us
