If i can get enough interest in a POF meeting in Edmonton, I'll gladly arrange it. Throw me a few ideas, and an idea of if you are interested. I will update this post regularly for the next 2 weeks if there is any interest shown ;)

Will probably be looking at a casual pub atmosphere because that is what most people are looking for, and as for time and date, that all depends on you guys ;). I like the idea of the st. pattys idea, nobody makes a big enough deal outta that day anymore.

You have a limited amound of time, unfortunately. You can't edit them after about 15 or 30 mins.
As for the get together, I'll stop in for a few drinks for sure. I'd prefer something centrally located like downtown or white ave. I'll watch for further updates. | |

There is no doubt that it is far more difficult for us to find somebody. We have probably lost someone through being widowed or divorced, and want to start over, or at least form a companionship with someone.... we are maybe more aware, because we have lost someone, what real loneliness is. I believe that we need a few groups of various ages, to suit everyone. Any feedback from the more senior crowd out there? | |

I really don't know how to say the following without sounding a little blunt, so I appologize in advance.
Not that I don't support a 50's + 60's gatherings, as I would agree that the dating scene is likley very different than our generation's, but I'd recommend that if you would like to see one happen then start a new thread for an Edmonton 50's and 60's gathering to see who might be interested. I would think that POF gatherings usually hover in the age range of the OP, and to ask someone to try and organize events for multiple groups would be asking a little much. Not that everyone isn't welcome of course, but you'd have to put up with us 20's and 30's young'ins over the course of the evening. :) | |
