| Lincolnshire??? Posted: 2/26/2006 9:48:26 AM | Am I the only one that gets fed up with the fact that there are no meets or speed dating nights around Lincolnshire?
I live in Skegness and it seems i would have to travel to Leicester or Nottingham to go to one of these, and what is the point in that? You can never expect to meet anyone local there!
Anyone else feel the same?
Would it be worth trying to get one organised?

| Lincolnshire??? Posted: 2/26/2006 10:13:11 AM | i think its the just where a place is viable to get 2 . like MANCHESTER . BIRMINGHAM .LONDON all pretty central places i live in the south so london is 50miles away and easaly accessable and birmingham and manchester r only a cheap flight away iff you wish to meet someone then mohammed has to go to the mountain rather than sit back and wait for it to come to you . iff looking for a local guy check your daily rag and dating then iff that fails hop on a plane or jump in a car and see you there | |

| Lincolnshire??? Posted: 4/15/2006 11:42:33 AM | No i never arranged anything as i didn't get much feedback... If everyone's up for it though, even if it' just a few of us, maybe we could arrange a less structured meet?
Feedback greatly appreciated!

| Lincolnshire??? Posted: 9/11/2007 8:39:42 AM | Well folks, what you waiting for?? Get one organised in your area!!
I am sure if you get in contact with any of the hosts who arrange meets in other parts of the country they will be more than happy to assist you in any way that they can.
As tony Blair said
Put up, or shut up!
not meant in a nasty way, i just mean that if it bothers you or you are fed up, do something about it)

| Lincolnshire??? Posted: 9/11/2007 8:43:53 AM | Read the rules, find a venue, pick a unique date, post your party thread and the job's a good 'un.
Don't spend time waiting to get people's interest on a random thread, all that will happen is..... nothing!
Good luck with arranging the first Lincoln meet.

| Lincolnshire??? Posted: 2/14/2008 9:57:54 AM | The simple answer is no one had volunteered to organise and host one.
Any member can volunteer to organise and host and event and until someone does there will be no events in certain places. More volunteer hosts are needed from all over the country to organise events in different areas.
When trying to gauge interest it is best to remember that you won't be able to tell by polling the forum, the best bet is to put together a small meet and poll the entire user base local to the area. (Forums are used by less than 4% of the userbase). Most attendees do not use the forums and find out about events via word of mouth, green links above the inbox and the mass mail sent out about an event to a 10K radius of the venue.

| Lincolnshire??? Posted: 4/24/2008 6:12:48 PM | I'm definitely interested in a Lincoln(shire) meet, just not on a sunday day or monday night, thats when I work. I don't have kids, but don't mind meeting those that do, and bring their kids along to a day time meet. Hope you get one planned soon. I'll help out if i can. | |

| Lincolnshire??? Posted: 4/24/2008 6:21:48 PM | | I thought Lincolnshire was one of those made up places like avalon, brigadoon, eden and coventry. | |

| Lincolnshire??? Posted: 4/25/2008 9:20:57 AM | Hosts on POF are volunteers so if you would like to organise something in your area please contact Forum Moderator when you have organised something before posting it or if you have any questions about how to go about it.
There are no designated hosts for any area. You can still host even if someone else has hosted an event there.
The first things to think about is:
1. What time of the day do you want to host something? 2. When in the week? Weekday/Weekend? 3. Do you want children to attend or adults only?
Then once you have decided on the day, time and the who you can think about the what..
So you have decided on your event, contact Forum Moderator and check the event is ok to post, then once you get the ok, go and post it in the Singles Events Forum for your local state
It will appear in the main forum you will then need to mail Forum Moderator to ask for it to be moved and scheduled, remember to include the URL/Link address in the mail.
It will then get moved and scheduled, and you can ask for it to be fancied up too.
And don't forget to read the rules:
FAQ - Planning on Hosting a Event? Things you need to Know
