Look at it this way..... If you suffer a career ending injury during your 1st NBA game (God forbid that, but the way), what would you have to fall back on?

Can't play in the league forever. I'd keep to the books and build up a contingency.

Good point but i have a story the opposite if your at school on scholarship and get hurt after that year if your inrepairable you loose the scholarship ive been there played baseball and decided to go to collage good call right, wrong couldve been signed to a pro contract by san diego and they wouldve had to deal with it and maybe got better treatment but i went to school now im ready to go after three years and a pile of surgery and who wants me now so injury is a part of any sport college is always a good idea but if your good enough maybe take a crack at it all the best!

It depends. You are short for a 1 even by collegiate standards. I don't know what school you go to and it had better be a D1 if you are contemplating leaving after one year. Some players have made a successful 1 year transition aka Brand, Randolph, Anthony. These are all big men though. Telfair, who is about your size, is not doing so hot in Portland while Jameer Nelson, who stayed in college, is pretty successful playing backup point in Orlando. Play the game for at least a couple more years and showcase your talents to NBA scouts. If you honestly don't think you will get any "better" then you may want to enter early due to risk of injury in the nonpaid collegiate game.

if your good enough then go. but chances are your not and just trying to sound cool here. get a good agent and sign a contract and make your money if you get hurt you can go back to school and get your schooling done under money from the team. don't be a idoit a pro gets money from being hurt till his contract is done.

no one wants to not go pro. you have to take you shot. you may only get one. what if you got hurt at the collage level not one cent would go your way. its not even a question if your asking it then your not smart enough to grad so go pro.
