| What do your parents think of you being on a Internet Dating Site?
Posted: 3/2/2006 2:21:39 AM | Well my mum doesn't seem to care she always asks (she lives in Tassie) every second day when she rings- how are you going in Internet dating talking to anyone from the Internet?
But my Step-dad on the other hand thinks Internet dating is so not good and he says go to the pubs and cafes and you will find someone there and I said to him as if. | |

My parents have no say, wouldn't matter what they think.
for all i know my mums probably out checkin guys out while my dads sleeping!

I woke up from this nightmare..dream? recently.. my mum lvoes the net, so this dream was i cuaght her out on singles sites!!
and she met with some guy etc.. hmm she wanted me to keep it quiet !

I'm scared to visit my parents in the country incase she is lmao
my kids know i use the singles site, and doesn't phase them their mum does. They know hard it can be for me to go out well was to , and now made a lot of new friends.
I just find it a tad sad that their are 18 yr olds on the sites when they can get out, there's nothing stopping them, they have so much to enjoy etc.
My eldest is 18 in July, so seeing some of her friends, ad seeing that these kids don't need these sites, makes me wonder why they are on here? | |

Posted: 3/11/2006 3:54:22 PM | About 18 year olds on the site well it possibly has to do with its the "in thing" and then they can boast to there friends "There was this hunky guy on the Internet and I messaged him and he messaged me and we are going out tommorow night" and then her friends says "ohhh she is in love hopefully she can find me a guy".
There are also some very shy 18 year olds who prefer not clubbing or going to pubs and prefer the Internet but it seems like Internet dating is the way to go to make sure you keep clear of sleeze bags physically. | |

Posted: 6/26/2007 10:20:14 PM | My parents were bad, mmmkay? My dad offered me a joint at 14 and my mum offered to take me to the doctor and get the pill at 16 - so, I tell them NOTHING about my life.
I live quite happily as a result! 
Who cares what anyone thinks about internet dating? If it works for you, keep doing it! If it doesn't, find something else.
By the way did anyone miss me? I have been as sick as a dog for about 5 days with tonsilitis and haven't set foot near a computer .... I bet no-one even noticed  | |

Yes Leatheryman, I have hooked up with my own Boho-Dude, who I met on the internet. Woohoo! But, I must say, it was on a different site ... *shock, horror*
As for my parents being bohemian, I prefer the term "dysfunctional" thankyou very much  | |

But he liked my last bf who I "ordered on the internet" so I think he's somewhat reassured that it's not full of axe murderers and weirdos. | |

Posted: 6/27/2007 1:32:29 AM | my parents say nothing.... before dating sites there were just chat rooms where people use to hook up and do what they do.... i have been on here for 10 years now (online that is) so i have had alot of hook ups... a few serious relationships... and 1 child from the result of a relationship with someone online.
all my family is online and they just see it as a easy way to communicate with others being it on a personal level or business...
so i just go about what im doing i had never been open with my private life with them before and im not now.....lol.. there are some things i like to keep private even in a close knit family.... | |
