I guess mine would be Phil Hartman, although in the eighties, there were so many good ones, chris rock, adam sandler, mike myers, dana carvery...etc..etc...oh yaah and not one to forget eddie murphy.

But almost anything Phil Hartman was involved in made me laugh in ways i did'nt know i could.
I just finished watching the skit of him playing jesus

chris rock would be my fav in my books. i know russel peters had rocketed up the charts recently, but the premises of most of his gigs are pretty much the same from gig to gig.

Christopher Walkin.

No contest.

When I grow up I want to be just like Christopher Walkin when he grows up.

Anyone remember Kevin Nealon's 'Mr. Subliminal Talker'? Or, Jon Lovitz... yeah, that's the ticket! Toonces actually taught me how to drive.

The highlight of watching SNL during the late eighties was Deep Thoughts by Jack Handy.

My favorite comedian on SNL was Eddie Murphy. Need to mention this even tho John Candy hosted Saturday Night Live a couple of times Ive enjoyed any show that John Candy was in. He was very talented and brought lots of laughter in my life. He had a laugh that was unforgettable. He is sadly missed!!!

When i read yours "homeless bum" it reminded me of farrell.

It's a toss-up: Poor "Mr. Bob," who was always getting squished, "The Church Lady" and last, but not least, ... (drum roll) ... "Stuart Smalley" -- "because I'm loveable, worthwhile and doggone it -- people like me!"

I think it was Mr. Bill who got squished. One of my faves, after the BOC skit which I have saved, lol, was Kevin Spacey doing screen tests as other stars for Star Wars. He did Chris Walken auditioning for Obi Wan Kenobi and Walter Mattau as well. He has such talent. Love him!!

No one mentioned the really bad cheerleaders, or Mary Catherine Gallagher....geez.

Yep, La Dolce, it was "Mr. Bill," who got squashed (that poor little fellow). Thanks for the correction. It was past my bedtime when I made that post.

Phil Hartman was definately one of the all time greats. And he helped make NewsRadio one of the funniest shows of all time.

Who did the 'Sprockets' skit? Wasn't it Mike Myers? I tried the touch my monkey line at the clubs, but I never could find a SNL fan to appreciate it.

My all time favorite has to be Chris Farley's "Chippendale's Audition" with Patrick Swayze.

How about "Jap Anus Relations" for $1000?

" Kevin Spacey doing screen tests as other stars for Star Wars. He did Chris Walken auditioning for Obi Wan Kenobi and Walter Mattau as well. He has such talent. Love him!!"

Yes! That was brilliant!! Didn't they also sneak in Norm MacDonald as Burt Reynolds auditioning for Obi Wan? "What kinda car does this guy drive?"

Norm Macdonald was my favourite newsman...when the OJ thing was on.....he was rocking!
Eventually got him fired, but oh well. He survived.

Man that show produced some talented and naturally funny people. The list goes on and on. I can't say i find anyone right now real interesting, but i find the writing is soft, most of the times.
