| TOMBOYS Posted: 1/30/2005 8:15:50 AM | I think that I've always been a tomboy. Always hanging out with the guys and doing 'guy' things. Maybe it's because I grew up around men mostly and had zero female influence, other than my dad's occasional gfs. I like guys and I like having many guy friends. I've had three female friends in my life and it ended up badly and I dont feel the need to make female friends ever again. You might say that it was an experiment of mine and that it went wrong.
Anyway, do guys LIKE tomboys ?

| TOMBOYS Posted: 1/30/2005 8:34:03 AM | | Yeah. Tomboys are easier to relate to than girly girls. | |

| TOMBOYS Posted: 1/30/2005 11:33:59 AM | | Yes I love a girl that is a bit of a tom boy.. Not the ones with the short spiky hair, blue jeans, black boots and a biker wallet. But a woman that can still be feminine. Blue jeans to high heels kind of girl. i want her to still be very much a women. | |

| TOMBOYS Posted: 1/30/2005 11:34:52 AM | One of my favorite memories was dating a tomboy. She was sweet as sugar, but she wasn't into the girly girl stuff...a jeans and tee shirt type. In all the many years we knew each other, I think I saw her in a dress one time...and that was for Easter Sunday service Ah,yes......let's hear it for tomboys.....long may they live!!! | |
|
| TOMBOYS Posted: 1/30/2005 12:15:41 PM | I'm definitely a tomboy! I'm most comfortable wearing track pants, hoodies, jeans etc. My idea of being a girlie girl is wearing a low cut top with cleavage. When I go out at night, I try to "girl" it up but it doesn't compare to a girlie girl. When I was about 5 years old I knew then, that I hated dresses. My mom forced me to wear a dress to school one day but I was pissed right off. I played sick so I didn't have to go. I couldn't have the other kids seeing me in a horrible dress! Unfortunately, my mom still forced me to wear the dress, even around the house that day. I wasn't getting off the hook that easy. Anyways, I find the hardest thing about being a tomboy is the fact that I have a lot of guy friends. I'm always the buddy, never the girlfriend. I can't help it that I love beer, video games and sports among other things like burping loudly and laughing about it. Another difficult part is when I go out on a date, I always dress up a bit. But after a couple dates, I get more casual. I want guys to see me for who I am everyday, not the me that forces myself to dress up. I always fear that it's not ok for me to be a tomboy and have a guy still attracted. I always see guys going after the girlie girl in top fashion with a ton of make up on. It's hard to compete with that but as long as there is guys who are into a tomboy, then that's totally cool. | |
|
| TOMBOYS Posted: 1/30/2005 12:18:12 PM | | I love girls that can hang out with the guys and act like a guy, but still knows how to be a girl, and get dressed up from time to time. I'm totally into those girls who love to play sports do athletic stuff and aren't afraid to get their hands dirty. Girly girls are nice to look at but give me a tom boy any day of the week. | |

|
| TOMBOYS Posted: 1/30/2005 3:34:38 PM | So what you have learned by this thread lauren is 3 things:
A. Everybody is too nice to say they don't like tomboys because you are one B. You are very cute and that's really all us shallow guys care about C. We'll say yes to anything you say as long as we get a date with you
D. Guys really do like a girl who is in touch with her masculine side...
Confuscious say: "There is very fine line between tomboy and SHEMALE!"
I think every guy likes a touch of tomboy in their lover as much as every girl likes a litttle sensitivity in their man. Why do you think calanders are filled with girls in cowboy hats!? Just don't over do it - I think some girls don't know where or when to draw the line. "Tobacco juice is for ball players k!? )

| TOMBOYS Posted: 1/30/2005 3:43:31 PM | | YEA, girls in guys business suits are a turn on as well. Heck ya, cowboy hats as well or even construction gear or a cop uniform. heh... One of my favorites are the tight jeans with suspenders on with no shirt. Just weird like that.! | |

| TOMBOYS Posted: 1/30/2005 3:46:27 PM | | I have the opposite experience. Many of my friends are women, because I seem to get along better and have more in common with them. And many of these women have mostly guy friends. We just all happen to fall somewhere in the middle. | |

| TOMBOYS Posted: 1/30/2005 5:20:45 PM | I love tomboys. I have loved tomboys all my life. There is nothing sexier than a woman that will go out and play with me, who can sometimes outdo, outlast, outsmart me at times. I love a woman who is competitive without all the b*tching if I whup her at whatever we are playing at. My ex-wife was like that. She could play just as hard as I could and did. I miss that part of the relationship. | |

| TOMBOYS Posted: 1/30/2005 5:49:41 PM | I like tomboys. They're okay. Boys named Tom have always appealed to me a bit more. Did I mention that I'm a bi-sexual male ? | |

If you're a cute/gorgeous/hotbodied woman, you can be a tomboy, we don't care.
If you're not, don't, you're just giving us another reason to ignore you.

Personally I don't have a problem seeing a tomboy as a woman. I find her sexier because she isn't afraid to get her hands dirty.

| TOMBOYS Posted: 1/30/2005 9:12:25 PM | I LIKE tomboys... but I don't think I could have a romantic relationship with one.
I've tried that with a very attractive lady who was like that.. didn't work. I was outta there before it even started... She's validating herself with guys while I'm looking to have a relationship with her?
Uh uh.... I could see that coming a mile off...

| TOMBOYS Posted: 1/31/2005 5:45:23 AM | heres the real problem with tomboys. You cant get away from them. Girly girls dont want to go out with the guys on poker night, or football night, or pool night, or just lets get realy drunk night. Tomboys do and that much closeness gets on peoples nerves. You can't hang out with some on 24/7 you need that time apart to keep you from going crazy. | |
|
| TOMBOYS Posted: 1/31/2005 6:45:46 AM | Really ? If a girl is into sports, into guy things, loves sex and is completely in love with her man, loyal to him and respectful of him, why wouldn't he want her around ? Most men say that ideally, they want a girl who likes sports, is into guy things and loves to hang out. Someone cool whom they can talk to, understand and relate to. Sounds like as close to perfection as a girl can get, according to men's point of view. So, you find the perfect girl who matches YOUR standards and she is great and loving and helpful and wonderful to you and y'all actually have things in common and understand each other and YOU want to get away from HER ?
I like men, I do. I'll never understand them until the day that I die.
