| Can you sleep when you are cuddling?
Posted: 3/8/2006 7:01:56 AM | I did a search...came up with a bunch of cuddling threads...but none that fit this....
I feel like it is just me....does anyone else have trouble sleeping if someone is cuddling with you? My boyfriend loves to cuddle...and it feels great...if I am not trying to go to sleep. For some reason I cannot fall asleep if someone touches me at all. Is this strange? Sheesh...I hope I am not the only one.  | |

Posted: 3/8/2006 7:05:19 AM | Nope, you're not alone. If someone's touching me (or sleeping too close to me, for that matter) I cant sleep very well.
In fact, some of my sleeping partners have accused me of abusing them in my sleep in order to get more room  That, and apparently I once threatened one of them, saying I was "going to f**k them up"

Posted: 3/8/2006 7:11:39 AM | According to a couple of different ex's, I will sometimes kick a woman out of bed in my sleep. I can go to sleep while cuddling--not a problem at all--but I guess a woman has to watch out once I've been asleep for while.
If I'm tired enough, I can sleep even when I'm uncomfortable. | |

Posted: 3/8/2006 7:14:44 AM | No, I cannot sleep in a man's arm. I like cuddling after the exercises, but once I want to sleep, I don't want to be hugged. To begin with I will my leg will touch his, with my back on him, and later I would all sleep by myself.
Just to sense his odour in my bed is good enough. | |

Posted: 3/8/2006 7:21:03 AM | Sleeping comfort varies with the individual. Some partners sleep on opposite sides of the bed, and need their space. Others like to be closely cuddled, all night long.
For what its worth, my own preference is to be tightly intertwined with my partner through the night, maintaining close contact. That feels right for me. So, someone who shares this preference, is the best fit for me. It is a dreamlike sensation, to awaken in the wee hours, and make love in the state of half-sleep. I deeply enjoy it.
This is not a good-bad thing, only a matter of what feels best for the individuals involved. | |

During the week, I sleep max 4 hours/nights; I touch the bed and go into REM sleep utra fast..so you can turn the bedroom into a war zone and I hear nothing. During the week end , I sleep longer..6-9 hours and it is a more "traditional" sleep. My sleep patern is conditioned by what I need to do the next day, If I know i have to do something early, i do not even need a clock radio to wake me up...I just do at the time I wanted.
If someone cuddle me during the week..It wont disturb me at all, but if it is during the week-end, I might, from time to time, wake up or fall asleep later then her.
Sorry to say that I am not a cuddler sleeper...but am a sheet stealer LMAO! | |

Posted: 3/8/2006 7:45:55 AM | I can but only after we've been seeing eachother for a looooooooong time. like when i dated my ex for a little over a year, i began to feel fine with her falling asleep with her head on my chest or shoulder or whatever. And it wasnt to hard for me to pass out after that.
but normally if someone else is in my bed......im not sleeping anytime soon.
as for touching.....touching weirds me out unless you have permission. =) | |

I love to feel the wormth of my man behind me when I fall asleep, and i love to put my head on his chest or shoulder, I do need the physical closeness, makes me feel safe I guess.. but during the night I do change position too often for cuddling.. then in the morning... cuddling is a great introduction to something more.. | |

Well later night - once my mind starts to get occupied by dreams I just do need space.
