| How did you find out about this fantastic site?
Posted: 3/10/2006 6:47:02 PM | Well it was from Ray (that was his user name on FSO) and he told me about it in a PM and well within 24 hours of asking people to PM him about a new site (this one) he got banned because someone claimed in a PM that he was trying to set up people.
Strange as it may seem but what I can see the reason why some sites (I use the word some) actually ban people from naming sites is probably two reasons:
1. Just in case a huge number of people escape their site and join another- loss of revenue
2. That they expect you not to name there site yet there site is advertised on the very site you told other people about. It is one of there odd rules but thats okay I am happy here.
Previously when I didn't know about singles site I did a Google search under the name "Completely free Internet sites" and the first one that came up was Findsomeone and they were free to message and also well send smiles until the powers that may be decided that we should pay. | |

Posted: 3/10/2006 9:11:13 PM | I found this site by accident ..But i think this one offers so much more than the other one im on and best of all you can have an opinion for FREEEEE also there is less dogging going on here so that makes it a fun place to play for everyone ..respect each others opinions and views and this site will stay a great place to hangout and have fun ... | |

I joined other one's after, but i don't longer use them. this is my favourite, especially the forums, can be great fun  | |

FSO= Finding Someone
Well this site is based in New Zealand (from the windy City of Wellington) anyway they charge between $14.95 to $19.95 per month to let you have unlimited access to sending of messages to people, sending smiles etc. Also they used to have a chat room that closed and also they have a Opinion board but you have to pay that amount above to contribute.
Even if you are so called "Gold" there is one problem if you are banned from the Opinion threads then well you can still send smiles and messages to people but the problem is that if there is a great topic you want to contribute to (now there isn't) then well you can't.
Find Someone has had some disgruntled customers and most keep their profile up (like myself but not Gold) but the chances of actually finding someone on that site I find quite slim due to the simple fact that some judged me automatically from what I wrote on the Opinion threads and didn't bother to see or hear the real me. In other words they took everyone's word and PM'd other members to find out what I was like or am like. Strange because the persons they PM'd me never ever knew me or only knew of me on the threads.
This site is more friendlier because it allows to be on the site if we have a partner and then that means that makes the site helpful to singles because if a person posts something then they can talk about their partner in how they met each other and one partner might offer different tips than the other.
FSO is going downhill and the threads of late has shown the maturity on some on the boards like someone counting down the days she goes and works across in another state which is annoying the hell out of some people.
The originally FSO apparantly you could access everything for free but I came on it 2 years ago when even messaging other people was for free and it was great no problem with that then they decided to charge everyone.
Last year they did a huge change of the boards and the site and they didn't bother to tell anyone until 24 hours before which you would they would have asked the clients what they think in a mass e-mail and yes it can be done given they are raking in quite a lot of money from singles. In fact when they scrapped the chat room they didn't bother to tell anyone and the only way people found out about it was they said "Improvements to FSO" and the improvement was the scrapping of the chat room (like IM on here).
They are also known for their poor customer relations with taking up to 7 days or more to respond and they only respond within 3 days if you threaten them. It does say something. However, those who have been attacked it takes FSO around 14 days to 28 days to take action apart from that they jump down your throat if you have a partner because you banned instantly and the number of people banned instantly because they have announced they have a partner is so quick that you just snap your fingers and puff a smoke appears and your gone. | |
