| standard procedire or a rip off Posted: 3/14/2006 4:14:17 AM | | having recently been involved in a car accident . my car was written off as scrap .so having 5months left on my insurance i phoned to cancel my direct debit payments . only to be dutifully informed that at the bottom of the page in minute writing it says accidents occured whilst making payments leading to the vehicle being off the road is still liable to pay the payments of the year . my question is is this a standard thing or a bloody rip off ?? | |

I complained to my insurance company that due to the accident being another drivers fault I shouldn't be out of pocket so they claimed the balance left off the other drivers insurance company. Took some haggling but got there in the end. | |
