I totally agree that members of the opposite sex should not be allowed to vote on the ratings. I have noticed that women are not very complimentary of other women at all. I see where several women have voted me a '1', now, I realize that I'm not exactly a '10', but a '1'? (Meow!) Come on!

The truth is you have jealous people on here and some of them are caddy, they cant handle some one like you that has beauty and i suspect most of them are probably so scary looking that they wouldnt post of pic, as a matter of fact , i willing to bet most of them dont have a pic, i wonder if their is a way that POF can show who voted for whom?
One of my friends is on here and women has given her 1 and 2 and the guys 9 and 10s, so who is correct? obviously not the malijusted, jealous, not that bright ,probably their mothers dropped them on their heads as a child.

Since I turned the voting on, I have noticed disproportional results between genders...I think you should be voted on by your preferred partners gender...For instance a man looking for women should only have his picture rated by women...Women looking for men should be rated by men...The only exception would be a person looking for a same sex relationship... | |

I decided to change my picture. It's been all 9's and 10's so far. It's the 8th one in my profile. Tell me what you think! If that doesn't work out, I'll be using the 4th one.

Posted: 6/23/2007 4:10:11 PM | i would like to vote only on people in after 40 age brackets. i fear a compliment to a younger man, like i would give to my son, would be misinterpretted. i do find that younger woman are more supportive of me than older, but i don't take it personally as i think many older women are caught up with an illusion of what we look like and need to know more about air brushing in all those magazines, dove included! i am sure they vote low for themselves as well, except for what i am about to say below.
i would like to say something about how you become "hot" as i recently unearthed a bit of a racket! i saw a blonde woman with no pants on but with a side profile on my rating who voted me a 10. her profile was rather questionable. so i looked and found that she rated everyone who had rated me a ten, in turn rating them a ten. then i looked at who they rated and found many links. this woman by the way was high on the 500 hottest list.
what i think "some" rather desperate people do or maybe those "in business" is to rate as many people as possible a ten, then go into each profile and rate everyone on there a ten. by rating a ten you get a free advertisement on someone else's profile and you are put on the top of their list until more ten's replace you. after a while it has a cumulative effect, plus many feel compelled to return you the favor and rate you back.
it would be interesting to see if any of you find a similar pattern. to me, it's interesting at my age, to think that i am still "viewed" as being alive and kicking! my manfrined says i'm attractive and i did the model "thing" when i was young, but that proved even more to me that most of us have our very bad days in real life. cindy crawford once said about herself: she wished she looked like cindy crawford! and even tyra banks has tried to say the same to young girls as she pulled of her extensions and fake eyelashes on tv!
i would say that out of every good picture i take, i have at least three lousy ones! i would also like to say that when my last picture rated lower than this one, it was really irrelvant. it's the quality of the communication, not the quantity and most men really do not care if you are a 4 or a 10! what's imortant is how they rate you and i would say the same for the women. also by rating you, i mean ALL of your profile. also many of the quality men are scared away by high ratings and too many on your favorites and many don't get it that most of us on the forums, use favorite lists to connect not to seduce. | |
