Posted: 3/14/2006 2:56:57 PM | i think that someone holding up a picture with him holding a gun could make someone raise their eyebrows. unless its a hunting picture or something. however, these sheep that get all in a hissy over an inanimate object are really quite pathetic. i own 8 guns and have collected them all my life. however, i wouldn't think to put one in a picture to attract a woman. that's stupid. cheers. | |

Posted: 3/14/2006 3:21:08 PM | I was married to a hunter, won't do it again. He lived and breathed hunting. Got to the point I almost bought a pair of horns just to get him to notice me, or maybe I shoulda sprayed some moose urine, isn't that for mating?
Anyway, instead of arguing about all the time he spent hunting, I finally decided it wasn't worth it anymore
Funny thing is, ever since we split he lost all desire to hunt..go figure | |

Posted: 3/14/2006 3:31:05 PM | Personally I've wondered the same thing. Sometimes it makes me think they look at a gun as a toy and while I have no rpoblem with guns, I do have a problem with someone so irresponsible that they think a gun is a toy.
Anyway, sometimes I think it's all in fun, or representative of who they are... you never know.. maybe we should all lighten up.

Posted: 3/14/2006 3:31:43 PM | I like guns. I wouldn't post a picture of me with a gun in my profile. But i used to competitively shoot, and i know how to handle a firearm. They are a hobby. I used to hunt, don't really have the desire to do that anymore, but i still like shooting. I also have a C & C permit in Ohio, so i can legally carry a weapon without having to worry about prosecution.
They are a hobby, they are part of my life, but i am also willing to take anyone out and show them how to properly use them. It's a fun hobby. | |

A gun is a tool, nothing else. It’s great to have around, when needed and used properly. But, like any other tool, it can be abused.
Anyone who knows me well also knows that I am carrying a handgun, that I qualify with it twice a year, and that I am an excellent combat shooter. At no time in my life has anyone complained, or even asked why I have it. On the other hand, I am also very experienced at carrying concealed, so most people never know I have it.
