Well, I had an experience finding someone in a supermarket. Bumped into him walking around the corner, gave him my number. Talked, hit it off right away, started out good, it went great for about 3mths. But I swear I met him in the fruit isle or ASSpercream isle. LOL! I did say "started out good" but didn't end to well!

I am often observing the ppl around me at the grocery store. I do hope to see a great guy to put in my cart and take home! lol. Seriously-it does seem like a place where you may find someone attractive. I used to be more bold and approach guys and ask them out. But now I don't think I would. I like to smile or say hi though. Its just fun and I can hope they are single and will talk to me.

I have been asked out in the supermarket many times over the years. Only one time did I accept and he turned out to be a wonderful friend (that was 4 years ago). Now, a few days ago, I was asked out again. I DID take his number and called him today. What's nice about a meeting like this is the person is local. I don't go to clubs and I keep my rule of not dating someone at work so this leaves little opportunity for adult companionship. So I would have to say...keep your options open...you never know where Mr. Right is lurking

It wasn't until recently that I realized others knew my secret about grocery shopping.. Although I only once approached a girl at a grocery store .. there are definitely many lovely young ladies there.. I kind of just like to observe.. But the one time I did kind of went like this if I remember correctly: "Hi.. come here often?" "no".. "oh am I creeping you out?" "yes kinda" " oh ok sorry to bother you then have a nice day"

I have never found a date at the store but I did go out with a guy I met at my son's daycare, one date, not another. He wasn't into dating at the moment, to fresh outta his marriage. Problems for women though is I find alot of men don't wear their wedding rings so how is a girl to know?? I did get asked out twice in the same week by door to door vacumn cleaner salesmen ( they worked for opposing companies ) Never did go out with either though.

I can say I haven't. And I'm in one often enough. Granted, it's tough for me to be "on my game" there, since I'm at work, but still...

It does happen.

I have met a few men while shopping. 2 in a grocery store and one while I was walking into another store.

They had approached me. Normally I do not pay attention since I am there to get my shopping done.. (WHICH I HATE to SHOP!!!!!)

It all just started from them saying Hello.. in passing basicly till the next isle then something else was said... and it went like till I was finished shopping and they were inline with me.. they would give a business card or ask for my number.

I find it flattering! and its really not that hard to make small talk.

Yes... and did i mention I hate.. I mean HATE to shop!!!! (I know I must be abnormal..)

I never actually MET someone at the supermarket - as in went out on a date - but I have been approached by men before. To be honest, I was not interested in the men who approached me for whatever reason, I wasn't attracted or maybe I was seeing someone. But if I had been attracted I would not hesitate to accept that business card or maybe even give my number if it was asked for. The thing is - a girl still thinks it's a man's job to do the asking. Girls are just supposed to smile and bat our eyelashes. That's as far as us girls are allowed to go with strangers. Then he has to step up to the plate. There was one time I was in a grocery store and I kept passing this gentleman. I smiled and I smiled and he stared and stared and we checked out in neighboring isles and we stared at each other the whole time we checked out with our stuff until finally he walked out the door not looking where he was going because his head was turned back toward me - I was still paying. He was beautiful and I prayed that he would be in the parking lot when I got out there but he was gone. So the moral of the story is - GUYS - the supermarket is definitely an OK place to approach a woman. But remember us girls are trained to be ladylike and we're not going to approach you. If you get more than a smile from your lady, you know it's OK to come in for the kill. And I hope that sexy man from Price Chopper reads this, sees my picture, and writes me a letter saying: IT WAS ME. Such a dreamer, huh? God love me.

If your looking for one nighters ........ I have often been followed or just delibertly seen some one go around the isle and then bump into you at the top of the next one...
Meat counter,... your sorting out the small roasts, ... the person next to you tries their best to make small talk... or grab the same roast as you had picked... sometimes it can be a pain because its so obvious !!!.....
Meat counter,... " Oh , I like these roasts, how do you cook yours ?..."
or , I do`nt like their meat at all , I prefer .... "
Your at the cash, " Oh, where did you get that ?..." or "I did`nt see any there"
I enjoy talking , but , sometimes you know it can get sticky if you start something you wont be able to finish.....
Walmart,... a very elderly lady , she was was dressed to kill !!..and not a seck of hair out of place...and she never said a word !!,,she was looking up at the goldfif tanks... I asked if she wanted one taken down , she nodded.. so I reached up and showed her the small tank, and told her she must`nt put more than one gold fish in the tank, only one fish per ten gallons of water,,,, suddenly I realized it was`nt fish she was after.... my gut red light went on ...and I quickly moved on....
What if I had went along with her, at her exclusive apartment after she was through with me, she started " screaming" that I tried to get funny with her... or I stole money from her ... . No Thanks !!!.....
