I think that outer beauty is crucial in any relationship. We can't lie and pretend we are going to be attracted to an ugly person with a heart of gold... We wont' even want to see their heart if we don't enjoy their looks. Honesty is the best policy. -E | |

Posted: 2/7/2005 6:35:49 PM | I agree on about the looks but outside don't count has big thing for me , i dated a rich beautiful girl once but she wasn't nice at all very rude to everyone and very tempered towards people she didn't like. Inside still counts has big thing for me , so people who doesn't make there self look good , and don't act good inside should stay by there self or find some one who are like them. | |

We want inner and outer both-I'm just as guilty. And usuaully if we have to let one slide, we opt for the outer. We fool oursleves/convince ourselves thats it isn't the case. But only a fool doesn't recognize, that they too, are a little shallow. | |

Doesn't come easy though, cause you have to clean out your before you can hope to see anothers. The hardest thing to do is be honest with yourself, and clean out the garbage. Past history builds up and ends up definiing who we are. Gotta start digging, and removing the crap, brick by brick. Being "attractive" involves the whole. If people can't see beyond the surface, who's problem is it? Don't make it yours. | |

Let's face the reality.. everyone starts with the exterior as it's what draws you to someone. If they're beautiful out and nasty in, most people wouldn't settle. But I believe, if someone actually took the chance to get to know someone they were only mildly attracted to, and the inside was what they were looking for, they would find the outside would become much more appealing to them.
I know this works. I had been single for some time, and a fellow sent me a message. I did what most shallow people do and asked for a pic. Well, he really didn't look like my type, but he wasn't not "ugly".... just not that attractive. But I put his email aside just incase. Well, he sent me another email and because he was persistent, we started to chat. I found the more we talked, the more I liked. The more I liked, the better looking he became to me.
I know this sounds really bad, but it taught me a valuable lesson. I try to get to know someone before making and rash decisions. | |
