| Any plan for Easter? Posted: 4/4/2006 9:12:26 PM | Hmm..Easter..
Have you ever had one of those holidays when all the redneck family shows up? The eggs are hidden under cowpies...you can only have foods that can be sucked through straws to appease the family members that don't have teeth...yep..thats my plan..
My uncle asked me what easter meant...so I told him...
Easter is the Christian holiday that coincides with the Jewish celebration of Passover. Jesus and his disciples were eating at the last supper and Jesus was later deceived and turned over to the Romans by one of his disciples. The Romans took him to be crucified and he was stabbed in the side, made to wear a crown of thorns, and was hung on a cross with nails through his hands. He was buried in a nearby cave which was sealed off by a large boulder. Every year the boulder is moved aside so that Jesus can come out... and, if he sees his shadow, there will be six more weeks of winter.
Seriously though...the gf and I are going to my grandmothers (she is about 85?) with my cousins, and we are all cooking dinner at her house together...17 rednecks in total I believe...should be good for some pictures..and the odd Darwin award...

Yes, I know, the Canucks will lose (quit laughing, gon_fishin) but I will console myself by going to Death by Chocolate
