I'm creeping up on 55 and I can't wait!!!!!!!! Senior discounts, cheaper car insurance, I could go on.....
This preoccupation with 40, 45, 50 etc is such a waste of time and energy.....
Celebrate EVERY single second of EVERY single day. You have no idea what maybe around the corner and let me tell you when you face a major health crisis numbers mean nothing!
I am in better shape now than I was years ago...I laugh out loud, and my life is so rich that I don't have the time to worry about age, Im too busy loving who I am, where I am at and enjoying my friends and family.

I’ve had my “45th birthday” twenty times already. LOL
You will soon learn the same things I did: There are plenty more good years to come. In my case, life is more enjoyable now than it has been for the past 35 years.

...okay, so no guy has actually noticed, but HEY! The older you get, the less you care
Of course I want some passionate, romantic guy to spot me and sweep me off my feet. BUT... I bet there are a lot of women out there in their forties secretly chortling to themselves as they walk along the street, "You have NO idea what you're missing!!"

I'm sure that I'll also hate (at least for a short time) my 51st, 61st and so on. It's the "officially over" that gets to me. But again, I'll get over it and start enjoying myself again. | |

Posted: 4/9/2006 8:28:58 AM | I have to say my 40th birthday was definitely an eye opener. Where in the heck did the time go. Looking back at my 20's, 30's it was great. At this point in time you feel that did you accomplish everything you want to it kinda scared me to a loop. Well got over that within a couple of months and now being 43 I feel more secure about who I am. You basically have to take time for yourself and look into what you want out of your life and make it your number one goal. We tend to take care of others and sometimes forget about ourselves. Ladies look after yourself first because we only live once and its not being selfish you will always tend to others but you come out great at the end. List things you love to do and and do it. We are in our prime but we all look great dont we lol | |

Posted: 4/9/2006 10:27:41 AM | I am 46 and last year I must say was a good one...I got full custody of my two little ones. I stay more active and am more healthy now than I was at 41 when I had three heart attacks. So I am not really sure what your complaining about.
