Ok, we have some people planning a "bike ride"....... How about for the people that enjoy cycling for leisure? Cycle from Steveston up and around the Richmond dykes to the Flying Beaver Pub, sit and have appies and a and return late afternoon. It's off the roads, quite safe and you can't get pulled over for "cycling under the influence"

Actually... you can get in trouible for cycling under the influence... or you can ride off the dyke... which would be worse? How about picking a date and get this started Nutta... I have to find a reason to get pedalling before I am too big to even start... Hey... did you see Cdn Tire now has a "comfort bike seat" that you sit your cheeks on and it doesn't have the traditional saddle "horn"... sounds comfy!!!

Lets see what interest we can drum up for this huh? End the afternoon with a "round-up" at the Buck n Ear in Steveston too Anyone willing to donate some prizes for the weirdest "cycling gear" How's about one downtown too? Start at Granville Island and "do the loop" around Stanley Park and back again

I was up on burnably mtn at sfu. great trails. saw some older guys mountain biking. some lazy people take the bus up and ride down which kind of defeats the purpose of biking.

Well, who would be willing to get a ride organized downtown? Doesnt take much really, I'll do the one in Steveston, but feel someone closer to downtown could get THAT one going?

I can do one downtown... perhaps starting out at Jericho Beach and Spanish Banks ... down to Granville Island for a stop at the Market... then around False Breek to Science World and down English Bay to Stanley Park... over Burrard Strret Bridge and back out along Kits and back to Spanish Banks... Is that too long a ride? Can even plan a few stops along the way... Let me know...okay folks?
