| let me tell you bout yerself! Posted: 4/16/2006 5:15:29 PM | If you listen, be prepared to hear some strange things. When I talk in my sleep, it's always me reacting to something that's going on in the dream. And sometimes you don't even like what you do in the dream -- you may not even be the "you" you are when you are fully awake. So what I'm saying is that what a guy says in his dreams may not be all that indicative of his true feelings or thoughts.

| let me tell you bout yerself! Posted: 4/16/2006 5:42:27 PM | | I had an ex that did it often... and it would crack me up when I could understand what he said... he had some of the funniest dream... I rarely woke him... unless he was fighting in the dreams... which he did a few times... I even got punched once during it... so careful if you do wake him.... | |

| let me tell you bout yerself! Posted: 4/16/2006 5:45:22 PM | I talk in my sleep all the time. Mostly it is gibberish/nonsense but it is usually about my shoes. Who would have guessed. Carrie | |

| let me tell you bout yerself! Posted: 4/16/2006 5:47:05 PM | | I apparently snore like a train getting derailed. My brother has guessed that it is an advanced form of swearing. | |
|
| let me tell you bout yerself! Posted: 4/16/2006 5:49:14 PM | I'm told I was screaming at someone in my sleep. Scared the hell out of my roommate, and apparently it was the longest, most creative string of swearing they'd ever heard. Too bad I don't remember it:(.

| let me tell you bout yerself! Posted: 4/16/2006 5:49:51 PM | | Onr of my friends talks and walks in her sleep, and my co workers hubby does the same, lol she used to come in to work and discribe the conversations lol, mostly gibberish, but he was so serious in his sleep sometimes she would just start laughing at him. Anyway she knows not to wake him, and she just lets him do his thing, although he does tend to wake her up lol sometimes he physically shakes her awake so he can tell her something important, and its pure gibberish haha. | |

| let me tell you bout yerself! Posted: 4/16/2006 5:51:37 PM | Alright I confess. Sometimes I talk about dirty things in my sleep.... Like wearing Payless shoes. What did you think I meant? Carrie | |

| Talking in your sleep Posted: 4/16/2006 8:01:43 PM | Funny I should happen upon this thread just now.... I just spent a "first night" with a man ... who talked in his sleep. We shifted around ... spooning each other all night. I was spooning him ... and he said "All that for one Chicklet" ... I laughed and said "Chicklet ... what Chicklet?" ... He responded ... clear as a bell ... as if he was wide awake ... "I don't know ... I forgot to open the wrapper ... it's still probably under there somewhere." ... I realized then ... that he was talking in his sleep. I laughed to myself ... and tried not to wake him. He doesn't know about this yet ... I do plan to tell him. But I thought it was rather cute ... he's dreaming about Chicklets ... I mean ... how cute is that! ... I'm even more attracted to hiim ... | |

| Talking in your sleep Posted: 4/16/2006 8:53:12 PM | Hey Ladydi! Great to see you.
I had an ex once who did and said the craziest things in his sleep. Once I found him in the kitchen and he said he was seeing a customs man in there. When I asked him what the heck meant...he must have woken up and with a confused look, said....he had no clue.
Another time he had gone to bed a tad pissed off about something he ordered and it was wrong so he had sat at his computer composing this long complaint email. In the middle of the night he told me he had got up and grabbed what he thought was his robe to go down and finish the email in his half asleep state but found that he couldn't get his hands to the keyboard. He gave up in frustration and went back to bed. We realised in the morning ...it wasn't his robe but his pants that he had pulled on his arms which meant they must have been sticking up in the air. God, we laughed so much about that.
If I had listened to half of what he said in his sleep and taken anything serious...I would have been in a constant state of confusion.lol

| Talking in your sleep Posted: 4/16/2006 9:21:52 PM | | I know that mine make no sense. It's why I also don't like to fall asleep in front of people, because i'm afraid of saying something totally incoherant and stupid in my sleep, and i'm also afraid of drooling.... | |

| Talking in your sleep Posted: 4/16/2006 10:28:01 PM | As far as I know ... I don't talk in my sleep ... But .. there was one instance ... When I was 9 yrs old ... I was living at my Aunt's house ... and she checked in on me at midnight, before she went to bed. She found me standing at my closet putting on my school clothes. Apparently she asked me "Where do you think you're going?" ... I replied "I have to go to school don't I?" ... She told me that while I was buttoning up my blouse ... she was unbuttoning me and manipulating me back into my pajamas and put me back into bed ... telling me all along that I did not have to get up for another 8 hours. The next morning ... at breakfast ... she asked me where I thought I was going last night? I was completely shocked ... had no idea what she was talking about. She told me the story and I totally believed that she was just messing with me. But ... apparently ... it happened ... and that was the only time.
However ... I do remember waking and actually hitting my live-in bf for not helping a woman in crisis in the grocery parking lot ... he had no idea what I was talking about ... and it wasn't until I fully explained to him why I was mad at him ... that I realized it had all been a dream.... !!!

| Talking in your sleep Posted: 4/16/2006 10:38:09 PM | Truth be known.. It doesnt matter if you or me or any of us talk in our sleep. The things our minds are capable of doing is still a mystery to the greatest scientists in the world. They say the smartest of all of us use around %15 of our brain.
So if we as humans, let loose that control, fall asleep and begin talking... I wouldnt worry too much about it, in fact I would copy every damn word being said.
You could create the next FloBee!!!
