| Hairstyles........ Posted: 4/22/2006 12:36:20 PM | Ok so we have had threads about men's hair/bald,beards/cleanshaven...etc...I was just curious about what everyone thinks of women's hairstyles?? Long, short, colored, streaked??? Sheeeeeeeeeesh there are so many different styles.... | |
|
| Hairstyles........ Posted: 4/22/2006 3:32:07 PM | | Definalely prefer longer hair, but there are some women who look really good with short hair. | |

| Hairstyles........ Posted: 4/22/2006 4:16:10 PM | | I have really long curly hair(natural)..with a few blonde streaks in it right now..everyone seems to love my hair..people stop me in the mall or wherever to tell me so.....kinda weird but hey..nothing wrong with the compliments! hehehe...for my birthday a couple weeks ago, my best friend decided to attempt straighting my hair with a flat iron..and omg..it worked..yes I was amazed at this..i've had really curly hair my whole life and wondered what it would be like to have straight hair for once...anyways...almost any guy i've known says long hair is the best cause its sexy..and a few have threatned to hurt me if I cut mine off lol..I dunno.I feel a lot more feminine with long hair..last time I had it short was 12 years ago tho... | |

| Hairstyles........ Posted: 4/22/2006 4:39:54 PM | I like it just above the shoulder still enough to grab a handful while cumming up from behind | |
|
| Hairstyles........ Posted: 4/22/2006 9:46:42 PM | | Funny that you mention hairstyles... I've had long curly locks for years now, but my FMS is getting to the point where I'm either going to have to get an easier hairstyle to manage, or go to a salon once a week for a good deep conditioner :) getting hard to manage it without help :( Hate the thought of cutting it though!!! | |

| Hairstyles........ Posted: 4/22/2006 10:48:52 PM | My hair was almost down to my butt for years, when I became pregnant the first time, I ended up in the bathroom, with a pair of scissors, and shoulder length hair. OOps..my ex was in shock for days!! I let it grow out again, untill my 2cnd bambino. Then I went and had it cut and styled. I have stuck with it ever since!! So what 2 yrs!! | |
|
| Hairstyles........ Posted: 4/22/2006 11:22:43 PM | I have the oddest hair. When I was a kid, it was strawberry blonde, and wavy. Then when I was 12 I got a perm. HUGE mistake. That damn perm has never gone away...ever since, it's been curly. When I let it air dry, I look like Shirley Temple on crack.
I'm currently working on a plan to kidnap Debra Messing. She has my REAL hair.

| Hairstyles........ Posted: 4/23/2006 8:17:18 AM | | one thing that I can't understand about women. they all pretty and soooo sexy but as soon as you get a one on one time the hair goes up! a bun or sometime a palm tree like sticking on top of their head. don't women know that when they expect a man to be romantic that the bun is a total turn off? | |
|
| Hairstyles........ Posted: 4/23/2006 8:47:32 AM | Dude! (#9) It's all chick-speak… hair-in-a-bun means “sniff my neck” and hair in the palm-tree means it’s March 14 and you’ve had your steak … (but mileage varies)
As for hair, I’ll go with something unfussy and fairly wash-‘n-go. Bits of playdough and leaves and grass are fine. A little salt ‘n peppa in the roots is a definite turn-on.

don't women know that when they expect a man to be romantic that the bun is a total turn off? I don't know about that.... seems to me that there are an awful lot of guys DYING to get a piece of a hot librarian LOL.
Long hair is great,...the hair style simply has to fit the face BUT BUT BUT it is easy to say long hair is great when you aren't the one having to spend hours a day taking care of it! ( side note: no more complaining women take too long to get ready then)

| Hairstyles........ Posted: 4/23/2006 9:41:33 AM | I have grown my hair long four times in my life, and every time I went back to short hair because of the way I looked in it. Like C Note, my hair is naturally curly to the extreme and to grow it long took the term "bad hair day" to a new level . I have been told by friends and family that I look so much better in short hair because of my small face. Basically it is the length and style that YOU look and feel good in that counts. I get really browned off when a man on this site who has never met me basically writes me off because "I don't go for women with short hair"....Your loss buddy. It is so nice to now be with a man who likes the "whole package" short hair, flaws and all | |

| Hairstyles........ Posted: 4/23/2006 11:33:40 AM | Hmmm, depends very much on the lady herself
As long as there's something to hold onto

Yeah, haven't you ever seen one of those old movies...the seemingly plain woman with the bun and glasses...Bogart removes the glasses and the pin from her hair, the hair falls down around her shoulders...WHAMMO! She's gorgeous!
Got something against surprises?
|
| Hairstyles........ Posted: 4/23/2006 1:19:33 PM | In total disagreement with the "bun" - it's SEXAY on the right woman | |
|
| Hairstyles........ Posted: 4/23/2006 1:38:06 PM | | Hmm, sitting here at work with my hair pulled back and thick black framed glasses...I wonder, if I pulled out the pins and did 'the shake', would I look like Bergman? | |
|
| Hairstyles........ Posted: 4/23/2006 2:14:53 PM | | I wear my hair up at times, mainly for work, and then when I take it down, usually get a comment of "holy cow", not because its wavy or curly but because there's so much of it, and its so fine. I try to keep my hairstyle very simple because of that. | |
|
| Hairstyles........ Posted: 4/23/2006 2:28:22 PM | meh hair is just a necessary evil... i try to keep mine above my shoulders to avoid tangles and knots that I won't bother to brush out anyways... he he .. who needs a brush.. isn't messy supossed to be sexy? fur would be much more easy.. then i could lick my hand, smooth it back and yell I'm clean!! | |
|
| Hairstyles........ Posted: 4/23/2006 2:34:48 PM | I've had mine from an inch long to moving it out of the way when I had to go pee!! just passed the shoulderblades seems to be the best for me... but I have the worlds THICKEST hair... so when you see this dancing fool out at the POF events, it tends to go up once the dancing shoes start their stuff! Otherwise it's like wearing a fur coat!!

ps ~ long hair can be soooo much fun when used to tickle....

| Hairstyles........ Posted: 4/23/2006 3:00:12 PM | i think it is something different not only on a person to person basis but also on a "time/mood" of your life basis. It's nice if hair is part of your clothing/attitude/outlook on life style type thing. I think when a person is moving into a new phase of their life, hair is usually the last thing they change. So it can give you an idea of where they may be at.
My personal preference is something that looks natural, in place (not tidy "in place" but looks like it belongs "in place"), and extreme in a way that suits the individual. ie. burgundy, frizzy, perfectly straight, star burst, whatever... something of your personality showing through. It's your body's only "natural" decoration you can change (without surgery) have fun with it.
imho | |

| Hairstyles........ Posted: 4/23/2006 6:08:21 PM | | I used to have very short hair.. for years, I chopped if off when I was in Europe becuase it became so dry and unmanagable.. so I cut it all off.. which was a big shock for everyone because I had it below my shoulders and thick wavy hair, friends didnt recognise me when I got back.. grew it out and got a lot more compliments from guys, however recently people have been saying I should get it cut short again. so I am really curious to hear what people have to say about it. | |

| Hairstyles........ Posted: 4/23/2006 7:25:00 PM | Well to begin with a hairstyle should suit your personality /face shape...etc,and the lifestyle that you have. Ask yourself some basic questions....reguarding color and tones... and your underlying pigment of your own skin......a way to tell should you decide to highlite your hair and what color you will be is by checking the iris of your eyes..the colour should pretty well give you what your hair will lift to and what toners to use to obtain the shade desired...just remember this will be done every 6-8 weeks depending on how fast you hair grows..usually 1/2' a month on average... Short cuts trimmed every 4-6 wks to keep the shape desired medium length hair can go 8-10 weeks... and the list goes on........lol that's it for now.......... | |
|
| Hairstyles........ Posted: 4/23/2006 7:35:48 PM | | What happens if your roots are growing out but you've since moved away from the city where you originally had your hair streaked and lightened? Do you have to get it done all over again or is there a way to just fill in the roots? | |
