| What's the latest nice thing you did for someone? Posted: 4/29/2006 3:35:54 PM | Last week I was taking my son to his mom's in the morning and we were almost at her house when he realized he left his homework at my house. He was really worried because he thought I would just drop him and carry on to work. I asked if it was something he could hand in the next day and he said "no, I'll get in BIG trouble if I don't hand it in" so we turned around and went back to get it. TO me it wasn't that big of a deal, but I guess to him it was because when we were almost at my house he said: "you didn't have to do this Dad" .... simple words but made me feel pretty great. How about you? | |

| What's the latest nice thing you did for someone? Posted: 4/29/2006 3:40:33 PM | This morning I helped a co-worker move our company barbeque. Trust me, it's a big-ass barbeque, and she's a frail little lady. I also removed the heavy boxes that were sitting on top of it...of course, I put them there in the first place. Not sure if that counts or not...haha.
I'm lazy and selfish, so even though it doesn't sound like that big of a deal, it was...lol.

Posted: 4/29/2006 5:39:53 PM | | Remembering that 2 out of 83 guys at our company BBQ were allergic to wheat so I made sure I had alternate hamburger "buns" for them in the way of corn tortillas. Everyone had a great time and they really appreciated the fact that I remembered about them.

| What's the latest nice thing you did for someone? Posted: 4/29/2006 6:37:55 PM | hmmm...
I took a little gift to school for each child in my son's K class last week.
I went on a long walk with a g/f so she could and sort things out in her head yesterday. That was a win win though.
I helped a friend fix plumbing this morning.
I am making dinner for a friend tomorrow night. Another win win though...LOL those probably don't count. LOL
I bought a book for a g/f friday, that might inspire her to make the changes she talks about but is afraid of.
Did I do good?

The only hitch is that I haven't recieved any money from anyone yet. Could be my loss in the end, but I hope not. I trust my Pof fishy friends.

| What's the latest nice thing you did for someone? Posted: 4/30/2006 2:18:35 AM | I called my Mom tonight cuzz I know she likes to talk with me.
I took my Dad out for brunch this morning cuzz I know they don't give him his favorite meal, bacon and eggs (over easy), at the nursing home.
Today, I told my 17 year old daughter that I love her even though I was envious of her new cell phone.

| What's the latest nice thing you did for someone? Posted: 4/30/2006 9:42:16 AM | There's a two block hill on my way home that I walk every day. I was half way up the hill, full-steam ahead, doing my impression of the Little Engine that Could. There was this little old lady looking gray leaning against the telephone post. I stopped to see if she was OK. She was crying and she was afraid she couldn't make it up the hill. I told her to wait there and I would come back with my car. I huffed and puffed up the hill at warp speed, got my car, had to take the long way around because of all the one-way streets downtown and took her home. She was such a sweet little thing, like a little bird. Anyway, she tried to give me money and I told her not to worry, I'd be repaid for certain.

| What's the latest nice thing you did for someone? Posted: 4/30/2006 10:19:03 AM | The other day, I had come back from doing some grocery shopping, and was going to use the elevator to get up to my place, but saw that an elder lady was struggling to get her grocery to the elevator, so i made sure she got her stuff to her front door, then carried on with my stuff.
also the same day, I was helping a friend celebrate his birthday, and let him beat me in 8 straight games of pool, just so he could feel better about himself.

I just do it as it comes naturally (thank you Mom) once the act is done I forget about it. I strongly believe in payitforward. Karma is a wonderful thing....

Posted: 4/30/2006 12:19:39 PM | | I was in Wal Mart to pick up my pictures from the photo shop and there was an older man with his grandson there trying to pay for his photos and he was short some cash, so I told him that I would take care of it and paid for the entire thing. He was a total stranger, was very appreciative, tipped his hat and walked off with his pictures in hand.
