Whats the best country to work in?

Im planning to spend some time in eighter of these two countries after the summer but i cannot decide which one yet. And I've heard its really hard to get a visa in USA. So then it must be better to try Canada?

It's easier to enter here ( Canada) than the US, from most other countries. The work visa will be the thing you need to apply for immediately if you plan on making any money here. Don't let it wait. We had a change of Gov't in January and some dept's are being overhauled, namely Immigration. Our Gov't is getting enormous pressure from the Yanks, to tighten our immigration policies and unfortunately are beginning to buckle.
If you are planning on just sightseeing, if you are from a Commonwealth country, you may not even require a visa. In any event, contact the Canadian Consul in your country to give you more information.
Cheers and good luck

I think it depends on the city u going. US, overall has a faster pase work force than Canada. I'm a canadian, now workin in the states. I like it, I guess it depends on ur personality, too.
Good luck anyways.

Tough Question...

Both countries are so big and diverse it depends on what you are looking for! Expect to pay a lot more taxes in Canada....

Sweden and Canada have a deal where you can get a working visa no problem if you are below the age of 30... I don't know about the other Scand countries though

Canada is pretty hard to beat in the summer time, but if you're staying year long, I'd hit the states...

Austin (Texas), SanFran, Nashville are my 3 favourite cities in the states... Texas women rock!

Halifax, Montreal and Vancouver are my 3 favourite cities in Canada

What ever country you pick, you're going to have a good time win - win really!

hope that helps

I've worked in a few countries and have managed budgets in several in my career. That said, for monetary purposes, no country can even touch the United States. The only one close is Japan.

However, for a work environment, I'll take the European countries with France and Italy topping the list. They both have a gazillion holidays, and the office environment is more enjoyable and you don't worry about things there like sexual harrassment and the like. Everyone is far more open and friendly. People meet the opposite sex in the office there pretty often....

I think my two paragraphs above represent the extremes of both sides of the pendulum swing. Somewhere in the middle are Canada and Australia - great places to work, but those taxes are a bear. Not like taxes in France and Italy (2/3 off the top, basically), but definitely a middle ground.
