Posted: 5/2/2006 1:08:45 PM | | Some years ago I met and dated a woman in her 60's, for 2-1/2 years. I met her on another dating site and during that time we actually exchanged 4,151 emails. Some with just one word. She looked much younger than her age and had a very magnetic personality that was impossible to resist. Only one problem. She loved money. We traveled, cruises, Hawaii several times, jewelry, diamonds. She was a look but don't touch woman. We never slept in the same bed, never held hands, nothing. But her personality kept me in the circle so to speak. Finally I threw in the towel. I sent her a 'see ya' type email and her answer was you will be alone for the rest of your life. You are nothing without me. Oh well, it's ok. I don't mind, because now I have money in my pocket. I have dated many times since then and never once have I run into a woman with that type of behavior. Rather I have run into very pleasant women, reluctant to see me spend money at an upscale restaurant, etc. So what gives? What makes a gold digger a gold digger??? I do have to mention though that I have heard of men that are gold diggers as well, yet I really don't understand why. Sad, very sad commentary in the dating world | |

Posted: 6/26/2006 1:00:27 PM | If you can find someone that floats your boat in each and everyway... money is a bonus, but not necessary as long as you have the basics.... I met one.. he cleaned me out.. OMFG.. yepers' and a few other things.
Do not become down hearted I did for a year.. and then I realized that I was a better person for having this experience, for how could I have known what it would have felt like for the opposite sex if I would have been that way. I now have added beauty within' but still want to spoil and be spoiled....yes passions...

I worked hard for my money didnt come from alimoney or child support. I was taken too . But i dont think all men or 80% are f**k ups because of my ex husband. | |

Truth is Gent's, that there are a few us that if we were missing the world would be a better place, of course that applies to males equally.
Generalizations are never accurate, there are always the exceptions.
OP, I sure do hope you learned your lesson, and in the next round you begin by taking...
Irony of it all, is that we are the ones that set the standards as to how we want to be treated, how much bs you will take from someone, you would be surprised the things that all of us, including yourself and I, could be capable of if allowed by others.
This is the part where we should really be selfish; we should have an idea more or less of what makes us happy. Figure out what you want, and if you are not getting it; Next!!!
