| Great Idea! Posted: 5/10/2006 1:26:57 PM | I practiced Kyokoshinkai and studied under Andre Gilbert for many years. I think a martial arts forum is a great Idea! We could exchange stories or talk about different techniques. I hope there are more people like us that want to share their interest. | |

| Great Idea! Posted: 5/16/2006 4:37:35 AM | | I do a bit of self-taught kenjitsu and a unique saber style, altho I don't think that's much of a matial art. Oh well, not much goes on in the West Island. | |

| Ouss! Posted: 5/17/2006 2:35:08 PM | Hi Zoraph!
I make 4 years of American Kenpo,i quit practicing Kenpo because of some wickness on the art like...the absence of philosophy and on fitness to.I practicing an other style who is completly different,i don't know if you ever heard of Nanbudo? Well it's so different of the previous style then i was practicing and not agressive at all!My martial-arts little history start at the age of 12 in Tae-kwondo so my kick was quite good at this time but i lose lot of flexibility because of the fact then i getting older!! Tabarn....! I switch lots of time after my green belt in tae-kwon do . i make lots of style before i continue my martial way in American Kenpo.Anyway..if you want to exchange with me go ahead friend! I got a lot the tell about my vision of that! Salut ! Ouss! Respect.

| Ouss! Posted: 5/23/2006 9:06:14 PM | Personally, I've done 4-5 years of Muay Thai (unfortunately not consistently) and I've done 18 months of MMA (mixed martial arts, for those who didnt know), that made me do some BJJ (brazilian JuJitsu), wrestling, sambo, etc. I LOVE MMA and Muay thai... Grappling is so much fun, while striking makes you feel powerful...
Im saving money so I can go to Thailand and learn from the best...

|
| Ouss! Posted: 5/31/2006 3:57:22 AM | | I don't really care who knows more than who here, this - my father is stronger than yours kind of sh*t is immature. | |

| Ouss! Posted: 6/15/2006 8:39:11 AM | So....express you're self my friends, lets talk about martial arts you and me and forget my martial art background!Anyway someone say by the past: It's not about who's right but who's left (Ed Parker)...So style doesn't meen anything on the street. I think the answer is on the street not in the (octogone) or a ring. A street fight is never going so long like a boxing round, most of the time it's about a bad punch on the temple or the nose and then a take down.I think than it's not about the style but must off all about the person who wear the belt Because there are some good black belt and some bad one .I just like to share on what i really love. Respect to every one.

| Anyone like martial arts here? Posted: 7/3/2006 8:18:38 PM | It's a mix of the style and the person's abilities...
A good kyokoshyn guy will beat a weak Muay Thai guy... But them beeing at the same level of ability, the Muay Thai will win... My opinion...
Streetfight is different than a normal fight, but it is a misconception that some barfighter could ever get an actual professional MMA fighter... There are levels of difference between both...
Obviously, boxing shouldnt even be considered in the discussion for it's one of the most restricted and unneficient combat sports ever... I did some boxing to improve my hands, but I trust my knees and elbows a lot more...
The individual is the most important factor, then his technique becomes a factor...
