When I do a search on here most of the women just look overweight or don't seem to have any sense of style. It just seems like when alot of women get to my age they could care less what they come off as. It's not that I have something against women my age because I think Nicole Kidman, Salma Hayek, Rachel Ray are all really beautiful and they're my age, (give or take a year,) but it's difficult finding someone who has it going when you get to my age. Am I just being too picky or what? | |

Posted: 5/6/2006 8:45:38 PM | Well, most women in their mid to late 30s have had kids, work full time, and don't have full time stylists following them around so they'll look good on their TV shows and movies.  There are tons of stunners who are your age around here. Just keep looking.  | |

I think people should stay somewhere around their age range and around their attractiveness range. It's only logical. If you look like you're in your twenties and you are 38, then you are rare and you might need to find the rare woman who's 38 and looks like she's in her twenties because unless you can find a chic who digs older guys then you are setting yourself up for disappointment.
On the other hand, if you do look like you're 38 and refuse to date women who look like they are 38 even if they are around your own attractiveness, then yes....you are selfish or you are not looking very much because you've got your eyeballs stuck on the twenty year olds because not every 38 year old woman is overweight. Think about it.

Hey, if you aren't attracted to women your age, then go for younger. It's not like there is a law against it. Then again, it depends what you're looking for. A romp for a while or a real keeper. The younger chick may not be quite so accepting of your body when you begin to get that "middle aged" look going on. | |

Also, I've seen more women lately, some who are older than these women you mentioned, who look better than some women in their 20s do. But, more importantly, is having a 'sense of style' more important than traits such as responsibility, intelligence, grace, warmth, compassion and who take care of themselves as they feel is appropriate? | |

Posted: 5/6/2006 10:14:55 PM | It all boils down to heredity and genes. Some women who are in their late 30’s, 40’s and even older are going to look very nice and age well. Some will be average looking, and some will not age well and be kind of motherly looking (which is not bad per se, but it depends on what you want) NOTE: I am trying not to say frumpy but maybe I will anyway. If we all had the money that the Hollywierd crowd has, we could all look good with enough surgery, personal trainers, and special diets. But Hollywierd is not reality…
My problem with older ladies is not how they look, but what they like to do. Trying to find one that has the same interests as I do is a challenge.

Who cares what anyone else thinks? You have to live your life on your own terms. I do think that your post was a little broad and overgeneralized (I know many beautiful women in their late 30-40s. You just have to find them.) I personally feel exactly as you do. Men my age or near my age (on the average) do not appeal to me like those 5-10 years younger ~ it's OK to like what you like!!! | |
