Posted: 4/14/2004 6:29:20 PM | I'm 6'2" barefoot and then I wear these work boots with a 2" heel. People who aren't big have no clue what it's like, and I don't even consider myself REALLY tall! There's a guy at work who's like 6'10"!
But even at my size it seems like the world doesn't quite fit. You get cramped in airplane seats or locally in Portland we have this light rail called MAX. It's awful. The last time I checked into a hotel the shower-head came up to my chin.
To say nothing of the intimidation factor. I used to live across the street from a High School and I was coming out of my house to go to work, car keys in hand (car keys attached to over-sized Swiss Army knife) and all I hear is kids shouting "JESUS CHRIST! GET OFF HIS LAWN!"

Not that there is anything wrong with being eye to eye with a man, like that too. But its a different feeling when you look up and having someone towering over you. I have had men get very upset when I do not want to date them purely because they are 5'9" or shorter.. I have my preferences and I would like to wear heels at some point!!

I wouldnt have to use stepping stools for everything, and I would have been a much faster hurdler if I were taller..
