| Does Anyone actually come from Tucson? Posted: 5/10/2006 9:53:50 AM | | I've noticed any person online i run into from Arizona seems to be from Phoenix or that region. *Very* Rarely do i meet people from Tucson, even when looking!. Maybe there's a secret area for Tucsonians? Any idea's, I'm just curious about this | |

| Does Anyone actually come from Tucson? Posted: 7/31/2009 1:28:49 AM | | No, I am not from here. Most people that live here too long turn into desert rats, living off of rubbing alcohol from the grocery store and 99 cent cheese burgers, but hey you can get a great tan while doing so! | |

| Does Anyone actually come from Tucson? Posted: 7/31/2009 11:23:59 PM | I've been living in tucson since 2003 and its grown on me. Moved here from Kentucky. Haven't planned on settling here but looks like I'm going to be here until my college education is finished.
As far as being a native is concerned, I believe that if you live in Tucson May thru August, you're a native.
Rio Nuevo hasn't done much for downtown , but there's still a lot of interesting venues and clubs. (plenty of places to eat too, and its gorgeous to walk around in at night).
There's Bookmans (which really makes tucson awesome IMO) , Main Street Billiards, there *was* the Deanza drive in theatre (I don't know if its still open or not, think it got closed a while back?) , the loft , Pockets , City Limits, Laffs comedy club (one of my favorite places to go) , plenty to do if you know where to look.
Mainly I like the fact that its a small city, so its easy to find your way around , get around by bus or bike (biking in tucson is a great experience, as long as you avoid the jerkoffs-who-like-to-throw-crap-at-you routes).
My favorite drive during the day is down alvernon from 22'nd to grant. For a night drive, coming down starr pass to I 10 offers a great view or going north on 6'th from 22'nd to speedway is great.
My biggest pet peeve though is the damn I 10 construction and the headaches its created. IMO , they should do something about the area from 29'th to ajo, that has some serious traffic jams there sometimes. Every time there's a fender bender, oi , you start memorizing license plates from staring at them for so long.

You should probably wait till you get here to get the buzz, I'm pretty sure you can find your beverage of choice in these parts

Tucson has some great charm to it and its an awesome town. I wouldn't live in Phoenix even if somebody paid me to.
I notice cactus moon is a pretty good spot to go hook up. Enough people interested in something like a gathering?

| Does Anyone actually come from Tucson? Posted: 9/9/2009 11:43:37 PM | I used to live over in the Glendale area and then moved over to roosevelt , 2001 - 2003.
the "small city" has a better appeal to myself. I don't know where you got "brown town" from , anyway.
Have you even been to tucson? There's plenty to do down here. Although if you're into partying, the U of A area has a national reputation for that.
What do you do for fun up in Phoenix?
"Hey, lets go see a movie !" "Sure !" *everyone hops into the hummer and watches a DVD inside while stuck in traffic on the freeway*
As for counting cars, yeah, what else are you going to do with traffic the way it is in Phoenix. At least the driving experience here in Tucson is a lot.... smoother. (especially since I 10 construction is done.)
