| If you died today.... Posted: 2/16/2005 8:14:01 PM | Ok, maybe i'm just wierd, but I do think about things like this.
If you died today, how long would it be before someone found you?
My answer is: I would guess a week, I'm not mr. popular, no one ever visits me, and the only calls I get are from businesses wanting me to fix something.
I would guess that anything more than a day or two is not a good thing, which makes me think of myself and my life.
What about you? | |

Posted: 2/16/2005 8:39:21 PM | Just a few hours on a week day - but not cos I am loved and popular or anything, but cos I pay a lady to come and walk my dog at lunchtime and she'd find me that day or the next worst case. Over a weekend it could easily be till Monday unless my dog started barking to get out...
Think I need a life!!!! | |

Now, on the topic, I may be misreading this, but you shouldn't be so depressed, and also realise that some people seek much "alone" time but seem to get none. Like i said, bringing this topic makes me think that you might be thinking of some bad options, if not - ignore this - but if so, trust me: I work in this field and THINGS GET BETTER, they always do. One must work at it though, for like the real world nothing is free - and and don't mean monetary, I mean without effort. You must give some effort to change things you wish to better. Again, if I misread depression, sorry. I'd rather be safe than sorry, right?

|
| If you died today.... Posted: 2/17/2005 2:21:51 AM | | It would be however long it took for the landlord to realize he didn't get paid. By then, I would be in the afterlife looking up Walt Disney. | |

| If you died today.... Posted: 2/17/2005 3:55:07 AM | | i would know that my family and friends knew that i loved them so much and that they loved me unconditionally | |
|
| If you died today.... Posted: 2/17/2005 4:59:54 AM | | If I died today at home, it would be three days before someone found me. If I died in my car driving to work, it would be less than a minute. If I died while at work and it was during a meeting, who could tell? | |

LOL @ you koople....I was thinking the same thing....so many times I attend meetings where I "listen with my eyes closed" , they probably wouldn't notice either.
In all honesty, it wouldn't take long for someone to find me - the kids would need to be fed, need money or need a ride somewhere that they'd eventually stop emailing me from the PC downstairs and come to check on me

| If you died today.... Posted: 2/17/2005 2:39:21 PM | Well no more then a week I think.. my boss would stop over and check in on me because I am on call and his right hand man. and he would have a stroke with out me there.
Plus my family all live an hour a way at least.. so after a week of no calls or no calls answered they would probably check in.

| If you died today.... Posted: 2/17/2005 2:43:43 PM | | a few years probably........but thats only an estimate........ | |

| If you died today.... Posted: 2/17/2005 2:45:47 PM | | I would be missed sorely by my COSMO...we talk every day....if he wasnt in my life, it might be two or three days before work missed me...and if for some reason work was not an issue, it might actually be a couple of months because I dont speak to my family much. | |

| If you died today.... Posted: 2/17/2005 2:49:57 PM | | If I died today it would be less than an hour, I am around people all the time, my daughter is practically attached to my hip, and it would be almost unheard of me having any private time, so I am thinking less than an hour, more like the moment it happens, within a few minutes, unless it was in my sleep and they find my body in the a.m. | |

| If you died today.... Posted: 2/17/2005 3:19:01 PM | | Probably instantly!! But another way of looking at it is.... how long would it take YOU to notice some of your friends or family were dead? Maybe a day for my Mum, maybe a month for my children, and about 6 weeks for my friends. With my husband it would be before he hit the floor. I think I should be getting in contact with others a bit more. | |

| If you died today.... Posted: 2/18/2005 1:33:43 AM | um not sure. if it was a work day, my boss would phone me. get no answer. phone my mom. she'd phone me. no answer. then she'd race to my place and find some way to get the building manager to open my suite to see if i was there. if i was in my apartment. a day.
if not, as long as it took for the police to find me.
mom and i are already paranoid something will happen to me.

| If you died today.... Posted: 2/18/2005 1:40:58 AM | no, lost my little brother unexpectedly this summer, and we've already talked about the fact that i live alone and am pretty reclusive and have few friends because of it.
sad fact that we've had this exact discussion on how long i would be dead before i was found.
|
| If you died today.... Posted: 2/18/2005 1:46:34 AM | | let's see, i live in a house with 4 other ppl so i don't think it would take very long probably an hour at most unless my roomies were in class then it might be a couple hours, but if i died while i was out walking somewhere, i guess it would probably take awhile, the ppl here don't seem real friendly if you are walking, unless they are trying to kidnap you | |

| If you died today.... Posted: 2/18/2005 1:02:48 PM | | Probally instantly...my dogs would go ballistic...my kids would be lost without me...my husband would lose it...and the kids I help out who crash at my house all the time. I luckily do not have a lonely life. | |
