| Are you afraid of growing Old alone? Posted: 2/16/2005 8:14:08 PM | I am not! That has never bothered me! Am I the only brave one here?
My friends have paint a terrible picture for me:
"...cant you see it's happening? when you are 70 or 80, not having a spouse or children around to take care of you when your health is failing..."
heehee, these blahs didnt freak me out! Maybe I am like the silly big bird Ostrich, putting my head in the sand
Are you pretty terrified of old age or you'd rather not think about it too much?

I am wistful about finding someone to spend the remaining time with but ifn it don't happen, so be it...

| Are you afraid of growing Old alone? Posted: 2/17/2005 6:57:40 AM | Maybe, once in a great while, at 3 a.m. when the world is asleep, and I'm not. But - think of the alternative. There's a lot I want to do before I "shuffle off this mortal coil." And whether I do it alone or with someone else, I plan to be doing it.

Before I leap out I want to: make one more person smile - one more wrong right - make one more right left....
(Always the non-comformist...hehe)

| Are you afraid of growing Old alone? Posted: 2/17/2005 8:25:13 PM | | Afraid is the wrong word. I want to grow old with my best friend, who will still hold my hand, caress my backside, kiss me nite, and then wake up in the morning. I really don't want to get old, but if I must, I want to have a companion who I enjoy. Otherwise, I choose to be alone. | |

| Absolutely not! Posted: 2/18/2005 4:03:22 PM | I know that even if I don't have a "special someone" in my life, I will not be alone. I have and will always have a full life.
And I see no point in shacking up with someone just to avoid "being alone". I will never settle for second-best.

| Are you afraid of growing Old alone? Posted: 2/18/2005 11:10:32 PM | | I don't think I will grow old alone because I have good friends and nice kids around me all the time and if I had to grow old with someone I detest, I would rather grow old alone. | |

| Are you afraid of growing Old alone? Posted: 2/19/2005 6:18:08 AM | Not afraid of growing old, but once I was very ill, laying alone in bed and hardly noticed by anyone. An awful experience! | |
