|
| SINGLE DADS Posted: 5/14/2006 9:45:28 AM | | Yeah for single dad you deserve just as much credit as single moms and i am giving you that. I am so glad that single dad know what single mothers are going through. Either way single parents need to stick together. | |
|
| SINGLE DADS Posted: 5/14/2006 11:22:57 AM | I can put both hands up-I'm the Mom and Dad. I have an 8-6 year old, and their Mom has not been a part of their lives. The only thing they know about her is what I have told them, and the pictures I have showed them. Over 3 years of not hearing from her I made the effort to track her down and give her the opritunity to be a part of their lives. She did make an effort for the first month, then faded away again. Point is: I didn't get ahold of her to be a part of their lives, so I could have more of a social life I did it so they could know what it's like to have a Mom. I don't mind raising my kids alone, and actually I enjoy it. Lonely? sure at times, but I wouldn't trade the moments I get to spend with my kids for anything. So women don't assume I am looking for a Mom for my kids, because I'm not. What I seek is someone who wants to build something with me. After that base i s complete, then our kids can gel into the picture with a solid foundation. So ladies stop assumimg just because were "single dads" that we need you to help raise our kids, were the same as you looking for a companion. and someone to enhance our lives.
Single parents rock!!!!!

| SINGLE DADS Posted: 5/14/2006 1:59:27 PM | It's great to hear that their's a lot of dads out there doing what is only right to do when you're left alone with the kids... Is not there fault... so is our job... to do the right thing... I raise 3 wonderful girls... their now 18,16, and 14... and I feel so proud... to see them grown up and be a better person then I was when I was their age... The funny thing about all this was... everyone gave me props for being mother and father... I felt like... I did what I'm suppose to do... be their dad... for all the ladys that think that we're too nice of a guy... LOL... They just don't know... We are the superman and heros for our kids... and that make us who we are DAD The MAN!!!
But there is one more person that deserve props... is my mom... she was there for me... Love you mom... Now that's who we need to stand up for....
