| Oooh, should be interesting Posted: 5/24/2006 1:17:19 PM | Hah, I got annoyed and overhauled the entire thing. I received a lot of compliments on my old profile (don't worry, it's saved), so I'm intrigued what could be said of this one, which was honestly written as a joke until I figured, "Why not?"
Have a ball! | |

| Oooh, should be interesting Posted: 5/24/2006 5:23:58 PM | | Thanks. In an effort to continue with the honesty, I mustered my courage and added the dreaded full length pic. Go me. | |
|
| Oooh, should be interesting Posted: 5/24/2006 7:11:54 PM | how about a thematic first date section?
also, if you are truly brave, remove the preamble that cops out everything that follows it.
|
| Oooh, should be interesting Posted: 5/24/2006 11:16:05 PM | That is asolutely the most creative, honest, and wonderful profile I have ever read. | |

| Oooh, should be interesting Posted: 5/25/2006 12:26:23 AM | You look good - no reason to dread the taunts of fellow PoFers about your full length picture.
I hated slogging through the first paragraph to get to the interesting part.
I’m probably smarter than you,...
And full of a great deal more hubris, apparently.
I’m not looking for someone to complete my life – just compliment it
Trite, cliche, and misspelled (it's complement).
it’s all good
Phrase of the moment. Please be original, you were doing so well.
How’s that for honesty?
Not necessary. Seriously, we don't need the preamble to know you're opening the kimono for the world. We don't need this either.
You failed the First Date test. "Imagination use must you," in Yoda-speak.
Overall: very very good, despite my list of criticisms.

| Oooh, should be interesting Posted: 5/25/2006 9:52:54 AM | 1) The Preamble: I'm not quite convinced to lose it, partly because I never claimed to be terribly brave and it at least sets things up, and partly because I really do like it. The entire thing was written as a bit of a mockery to begin with. But I'll think about it.
2) Hubris: It was meant in jest, and I probably wouldn't want to talk to anyone who couldn't see that ;). In any case, knowing myself as I do, I don't think I'm in any danger of falling prey to my pride any time soon.
3) Compliment/complement: Ah, you caught me! Goes to show students rely far too heavily on spellcheck, eh? Silly technology, not catching my meaning! It's been fixed. The phrase may be trite and cliched, but it's to the point - can you suggest a better way of stating it?
4) 'It's all good': Mmm, guilty as charged. Problem is, it's one that I use on a distressingly regular basis, thus tying in to the whole 'honesty' theme. I'm only a lit minor, not a major, so I can get away with it, right? Hmmm, I'll think about this one too.
5) "Honesty": I was trying to sound like a smartass. Evidently, I failed. This'll also be considered.
6) First date: Okay, okay, this has been the criticism since the beginning, and it looks like no one's going to let me slide on it. Does it help that I really would like to meet for coffee first? I'll try to come up with a more original way of stating it, how's that?
7) Foot: Well, it's more a 'tattoo picture' than a plain 'foot picture'. Would you still suggest I lose it? It would cut down on the cop out email 'wat's ur tatoo say?'...
Thanks everyone for your critiques and comments, I appreciate you taking the time! Keep them coming, eh?
|
| Oooh, should be interesting Posted: 5/26/2006 12:25:08 AM | 1) 2) OK
3) I guess it's cliched because it captures a notion so well.
4) How about reaching back to the 60's with "copacetic"? Add an ironic smiley for the full effect. ;-) <--- see, he's winking ironically.
5) There's such a thing as flogging a dead horse. We got the point.
6) I expect to meet my dates for a drink too. The point is to showcase your fantasies (no, not those ones)
7) I've no problem with the foot. Adds interest.

| Oooh, should be interesting Posted: 5/29/2006 12:29:55 PM | | Sorry for the resurrection, but I finally got around to changing a few things. Let me know how it's working, eh? | |
|
| Oooh, should be interesting Posted: 5/29/2006 12:58:10 PM | Refreshing to see... if a little long but then I did get too the end and thats the important part...
Bound to find lots of great people!

| Oooh, should be interesting Posted: 5/29/2006 2:14:05 PM | apparently_so,
Ah, to be 20, and have the world by the tail!!
You control all the cards now, but let's see if you sing the same tune in 15 or 25 years.
Here's a little honesty from me to you. Being SMART is not the same thing as NOT BEING FOOLISH. Words always taste their worst when you have to eat them.
It did take some courage to admit your virginity, to what end I have no idea.
Good Luck

| Oooh, should be interesting Posted: 5/29/2006 3:04:01 PM | I like the fact that you are flexible and have rather large boobies. As for what you have written, who cares?.. you're a hottie.
(Because you are so honest, I thought I'd be honest too, now that is what all guys really think of your profile, they are just afraid to say it, so they try to chat your up and say your profile is, honest, interesting, etc..its all B.S.)
