| men and jewelry Posted: 5/25/2006 11:36:25 AM | i've just made an impulse buy of a gold and diamond hoop earing and a gold and diamond nose stud. they were so shiney and sparkly and now i'm worried i'll look too girly in them. so what are the oppinions of all you uk forumers on men and jewelry? | |
|
| men and jewelry Posted: 5/25/2006 11:43:48 AM | I think a 'pearl necklace' on a man looks a little bit gay.
I got a gold hoop earing (smallish) and a diamond earing and noone has ever commented on it looking girlie.

I think you could pull off wearing that pear necklace and still look manly in it! lol I don't think you have to worry about it.

I think maybe you misunderstand the meaning of this, it was a joke (sort of)

|
| men and jewelry Posted: 5/25/2006 12:01:24 PM | Silver/gold who cares, its in ya di*k | |
|
| men and jewelry Posted: 5/25/2006 12:07:02 PM | | If it's what you want then stuff what anyone thinks! | |
|
| men and jewelry Posted: 5/25/2006 12:07:50 PM | I think each to their own.
If you want to wear that then fine............some may think it looks gay and some will think it doesnt. Whats important is that you are happy wearing it.
I personally just wear one silver ring and sometimes a silver chain and would not consider wearing a gold and diamond hoop earing ,even if someone paid me a million pounds into an offshore account.
On the flipside i think that the nose stud sounds quite cool.
Hope i have helped.

| men and jewelry Posted: 5/25/2006 12:16:22 PM | | I don't like wearing a watch and a ring is difficult to stand. So I doubt I would get anything else. Didn't know what a Prince Albert was until just now. Thanks Google. WTF that looks like it hurt. | |

| men and jewelry Posted: 5/25/2006 12:45:40 PM | Part of being an individual is the freedom to wear whatever we like. If YOU like it, then wear it! I notice you have tattoos, do you really care what anyone thinks of those? some people would like them and some people wouldnt.
As long as you show confidence in what you wear and how you look, it doesnt matter how "girlie", "manly", "weird" or "different" you look.
I always wear at least a chain and a ring, normally much more. You've brought jewellery that may or may not be made for women, a few nice items that just happen to have a shiney diamond in them and who the hell has the right to say that "diamonds are a girls best friend"?
On the other hand I've been known to wear women's boots, simply because I liked how they looked with my jeans (they are afterall designed specifically for bootcut jeans) and they also pick up the 2 inches of denim that was constantly getting under my feet and driving me nuts. Great jeans but something had to be done when I tripped and landed head first against the corner of a wooden sofa.
This daring idea seems to go down well with the ladies too btw
Im 27, im getting too old to really give a sh*t what anyone thinks, if you can't have the freedom to express yourself then what the point?
You've just got to try it, I'll bet you any money you'll get nothing but compliments my friend....

Wise words from the strider.
Indeed he is correct in all that he states. It is about confidence.............I get many compliments about my giant broadsword and the excellent use of my helmet but not everybody would want to wear my attire.
