I have a stylized lunar eclipse on my upper right arm, designed and had it done when I was 16. It means a lot to me, and I'll never regret it. It does need a little touch up though, seeing as that was 10 years ago! Dear God! I'm so old! lol! Oh I also have a tattoo on my back that needs covered....we won't talk about that one...

| Tattoo's Posted: 5/29/2006 1:48:41 PM | | Been thinking about it myself but am a little timid to do something that perminant (sp?)...Just when I'm 60 it would just look like a blue splotch I guess... | |
|
| Tattoo's Posted: 5/29/2006 2:38:52 PM | Actually riogard, it is good to be leary about something so permanent. But if you have picked out something you know u will like forever, then go for it. As for it being a big blurry blotch when your 60, that isn't the case anymore. Years ago, with those tattoos you see that are blurry, they used regular inks. Most inks have alot of toxins in them, so your body tends to reject them and try pushing them out. hence the blurriness. Now a days, inks are improving immensely. They are using more natural pigments for colour. Like flower and plant based. So your body seems to accept them more readily. Although, some tattooists will warn you, that if you have allergies to certain flowers or plants, that you may take an allergic reaction.
But all in all... tattoos now a days will last alot longer and more crisp, due to the changes in the inks.

Unless your tattoo was done in a dingy smelly basement by a shifty looking fat man named Dennis. Then it will become blotchy and ugly within the year.
Helpful tip: Don't be Scrooge when it comes to tattoos.

I always wanted a tattoo of an ass on my ass.
|
| Tattoo's Posted: 5/29/2006 4:16:32 PM | | Will it be of your ass before the tattoo or after the tatoo...After the tatoo you could do the picture withint the picture illusion...Or is it just going to be a self portrait? | |

Will it be of your ass before the tattoo or after the tatoo...After the tatoo you could do the picture withint the picture illusion. That would be so AWESOME! Ass ad infinitum
Or is it just going to be a self portrait? Look at me. If I went and did that, nobody would even know that there was a tattoo there.
