Do you have any idea who your angel might be? Any stories of when you first started to believe?
I think mine is my grandfather. Life only really started to get better after he died. I didn't realize it at first, of course. Took about ten years. Long story short, I used to have a lot of weight issues and thought that made me undatable. I was 22 when we had a dance at work. I was going to leave at midnight, I had plans with friends. Went outside to find out that my car was blocked in. So I had to go back in. Then had to go on the stage to ask the DJ to ask whoever had that car to move it. Then someone very intelligent totally missed the stairs and almost killed herself.  There was an angel who caught me though. Then this guy asked me to dance and was telling me how beautiful I was.  Mind you, to this day, I don't have a clue what the song was. But the date? April 1. My grandfather had died on this day about 12 years prior.
And I've cheated death soo many times. I think the absolute closest I ever came was when I was in Halifax and almost killed myself by getting squashed in a revolving door. I honestly don't know how I managed that one, but I can tell you that Shauna doesn't play in revolving doors no more. And I have this total fear of snakes. When I was 12ish, my family and I went to the Valley for a trip. Went into the pet store and seen the adorable kitties and puppies, totally missing the boa constrictor. (Sydney never had snakes in their pet stores.) Now, while I don't think that I would have died, I surely would have caused a LOT of damage. And then there's the time my ex put my car in a ditch. Not only was no one hurt, there was absolutely NO damage.

Angels are feelings, how we feel when we help someone or get helped or see something so beautiful you feel as though you can't breathe. Angels represent the good things we do in life and how we love. | |

Posted: 8/21/2006 12:05:36 PM | Sorry, I've never believed in angels. I sometimes feel that the whole religion thing is for people who need a crutch, although not nearly as damaging as alcohol or drugs. I maintain we are responsible for our own happiness and luck.

There is definitely something out there... I've had too many experiences that I simply will not deny.

It reminds me of the time I was traveling across the country with my 4 year old son and hit some black ice. My ex told me to take him. She didn't want to be my wife or his mother. It was a time I wished someone would take the wheel. Truth was, when the truck stopped after spinning into the ditch, I was the only one holding onto the wheel.
Fortunately, I was still in the drivers seat. Never let go of the wheel!

Your angels will also guide you to go in another direction from what you had planned to travel to spare you from danger. For example I was going to drive a certain route and I had a strong feeling to go in another direction, and then later I heard on the news that there was a bad accident on the road that I would have travelled on. This has happened to me many times. I believe in God very much. | |

This is how i feel about God..I enjoy him, I feel at peace when i pray, or when i talk to god. I feel this deep love for me and have this deep love to give. Some people don't understand (like my husband) but it's just something that's there.I am happy to believe what i believe and do not preach it unto anyone. Alot of people don't even realize how much "into god" i am I mostly keep it to myself...it helps me and guides me. Makes me feel at peace and i hope people can get this feeling as well, wether it be by god or some other source.Luckily for me even though my husband doesnt believe in what i do he's very understanding and allows me my space with it. I think it's the oine thing in my life i feel is 100% stable and is there at all times.

Posted: 8/23/2006 9:34:08 PM | I try to smile and understand everything, and do good as much as I can or what I think right, then when I go to bed at night I reflect upon everything in the day, try to understand it, and let it go, or give it to g_d.
I do this because it keeps me from carrying things from one day to the next and allows me to grow and not punish myself for any mistakes but to learn from everything.
Life is indeed to be lived, and we are to help people along our way, nothing is by chance, but you do have free will.
Ask yourself next time you meet someone is there something here we are to learn from each other?
