| Why are people so cynical against Michael Jackson?
Posted: 6/1/2006 3:52:40 PM | Perhaps cos a grown man wanting to play with wee boys is viewed as dodgy.
Perhaps cos he treats his own kids in a very dodgy manner.
Perhaps cos he chucked a few million bucks at the first kid who took him to court and bought him off.
Perhaps cos he's a few notes short of a tune and displays this in more ways than you can shake a poo-ey stick at....
Perhaps cos there's no smoke without fire....
Perhaps OJ was innocent too.... | |

Because they can.
Because he's famous.
Because he gets a lot of bad press for being so famous.
Because he gives people plenty of rocks to throw at him.
Because he shy's away from the allegations and cruel jokes, and fails to defend or justify himself.
Because he has altered his physical appearance so drastically, probably as a result cruel jokes and press reports about him, his appearance, his music or his life, back in the 80's / 90's.
Whether any of the allegations are true or not is of no importance, the power of the media can turn anyone into a monster in just a few days.
Believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see. | |

The sight of all those (mainly) women standing outside the courtroom chanting was a disgrace. Sheer hypocrisy. If some wee bloke in their neighbourhood was in court for suspected paedophilia they'd be leading the lynch mob.
Since they don't know him personally, it was very distasteful to see them proclaiming his innocence just cos he is rich and famous.....They'd have looked pretty seedy if he'd been found guilty.
Sometimes I despair of american justice where the rich can literally get away with murder.
I hope MJ does go bust. I'd love to see him try and make his way in the world without his money behind him.
I guess he won't be invited to play at any POF parties going by this thread......LOL | |

He has been a star for over thirty years, all the fame, the pressure, the media, the scrutiny, an abusive father. Maybe all that is why it makes him want to ''scream''! He is ''THE KING OF POP'' and that is one hell of a title, So much fame even when he was a young child having to work so hard to get his performances right must have been tough, when you are a kid and would like to play with all the other kids like all the other kids but you have to work instead, that must have been tough. He just wants the childhood he never had. So he sleeps with boys, dont other young boys have sleep overs? Dont grown men sleep with young boys when they go camping, unless you have a tent each!Why does it have to be sordid? Isnt there any understanding? yes he is not ''NORMAL'' his life isnt, never has been and never will be, but does that make him such a bad person?!!! | |

Linking Jackson to men who go camping with kids is disgraceful.
Being in a tent with kids in seperate sleeping bags is perfectly harmless. Inviting them into your bed is a totally different matter.
It is thru folk like MJ that organisations like the scouts etc are cancelling trips etc as they can't get folk to supervise the kids for fear of being labelled a paedo....The only losers from this are the kids who are missing out on a lot of good trips. | |

Posted: 6/2/2006 2:11:05 AM | what ever we say, nothing was actually proved.. and why did the parents take money... weird parents or just greedy.. his childrens mother, kept changing her mind, the kids themselves.. wasn't one of the boys 12.. come on, he didn't have to stay in the bed, most kids of 12 nowadays are streetwise, especially the Americans.. There's no smoke without fire, should work on both sides..
The parents seem to have wanted it all ways, the money, five minutes of fame... they will be seling their sordid stories soon, or have they already done that? Michael Jackson is a tortured very lonely soul..and maybe kids are the only friends he had.. most adults, with the exceptions like Liz taylor and a few others who don't need his money. Interesting to note that Elizabeth Taylor stuck up for him as did one or two other stars.... they had nothing to gain.. I am still sceptical.. money seems to one of the ruling factors as to whetehr or not he was really guilty.
Did he really hang his child over the balcony.. he was holding the child, the camera angle was pointing up, so it looked worse than it was - if the camera had been behind him, it probably didn't look dangerous at all...... he was holding the child out for fans who were looking up to see... the media made that story and then sensationalsied it... It's time he was left alone and allowed to get on with his life.. he was and still is after all, a great entertainer with almost unparalled talent! | |

Posted: 6/2/2006 2:19:24 AM | If proclaiming his innocence without knowing him personaly is distastefull, then so is proclaiming his guilt.
Its very simple... Don't judge someone based on what the media tells you.
If he'd done "things" to these children there would most likely be undeniable physical damage, I also recall hearing that the kids parents had refused to allow polygraph testing and hypnotic regression.
I'll joke about mj as much as the next man, the fact he looks like one of the cast of "planet of the apes" for example....

Posted: 6/2/2006 2:29:48 AM | Whilst it is comendable to say " I won't pass judgement on somone I don't know" Is that not what a Jury does, a jury member cannot be allowed to know either the accussed or the accuser to enable unbiased views. In the case of this debate are we not the jury and therfore acting as a real jury would, on the given evidence and deciding for ourselves?
Mj is clearly a disturbed man, I for one think there was a case to answer but the American judicial system can be bought, i.e. OJ Simpson, and I think MJ bought the result he needed. | |

If it is so sordid and that he has something to hide then why would he openly tell people that he has young kids sleeping in his bed? He isnt normal and he has given people plenty of rocks to throw at him but if he was really doing this then why didnt he conceal the fact. He has heard all of these cruel jokes all of his life and I could never imagine how he really feels but it must be pretty darn awful to hear so many callous people mocking him and also pretty confusing and unreal to hear people screaming his name and fainting all over the place at the sight of him. Oh and thanks to the mysterious lady for saying what I wanted to, glad to see that not everyone is against him, and no matter what anyone says he will always be the king of pop and one of the greatest performers to have ever walked the planet. | |

The DA obviously thought he had enough to prosecute and that was before media involvement.
However, thanks to the dodgy US legal system, if you get enough expensive lawyers to muddy the waters you will get off.....
I don't know what the parents were thinking in letting their kids stay with him esp after the first incident.
They aren't coming out of the mess too well either.
Would any of his supporters be happy to let their kids stay with him ??
He was open about the kids sleeping with him cos he could hardly deny it. Also he is so used to his fixers sorting things he probably thought he could do anything.
His greatest ever performance was at his trial. The jails are full of paedos who are very plausible in their denials too.
I doubt folk would give him so much leeway if he wasn't MJ... | |

BUT because MJ 'was' a star..he pays people to hush and gets away with murder.
if he is a man with the mental age of a 10 yr old then he needs help..not a ten year old to play with. he is NOT right in the head...most people with half an ounce of common sense would know that by what we've heard and seen with our own eyes and he needs to be kept away from kids. END OF.
ps..if he slept in a bed with my kids? id kill him..whatever his lame excuse. its called being a 'normal' parent.

Posted: 6/2/2006 3:48:13 AM | I personally think he's a freak. I think he did mess with kids. Yeah he's had a career for x amount of years, and these allegations only came out in the last few years. But like anyone who does wrong, eventually hopefully they get found out in the end, just like he has.
If my son went to stay at a friends house and the friends dad got in bed with my son, firstly I'd kick the fooke out of him, then go to the police because it wouldn't be right him being in bed with my son.
So just because MJ is rich and famous, it's OK for that to happen, i think not.
And any parent who took hush money, well they are worse than him. | |

OK.. sure - benefit of doubt etc.. but why did the police find a jackson sized fluffy bunny rabbit outfit with a hole cut out in the crotch area?
What if he needs the toilet? Well.. it's practical of course.. but most bunny outfits don't come with a gaping crotch as standard, they presumably have a zip or something.
If HIS childhood was messed up.. imagine what his kids childhoods are like... | |
