When the Brits were in India there was mingling and as Indians have moved about the planet there has been a variety of genetic cross pollinating . | |

I got sick of the stuff that Hollywood was putting out and went exploring a few yrs ago. I like movies in general. Once I got a taste for what the rest of the world was putting out, I realized just how crappy Hollywood can be!
And no, it's not all about blue/green eyed Indian actresses, but there are definitely some beautiful, talented and intelligent women coming out of there...just like a lot of places OTHER than California.

Well, if all white people looked the same, then you would be able to answer the question "do you find white people attractive"
Last I checked, not all East Indian individuals look the same ... so, how can we answer the question?
Yes, I have seen East Indian men I find attractive. I've also seen East Indian men I do not find attractive.
Much like I've seen white men who I find attractive, and I've seen white men who I do not find attractive.
As for cultural values ... that pretty much falls into the same answer as attractiveness. Regardless of culture, not everyone is going to have the same values, as not everyone is raised the same. | |

This probably varies from region to region, but Indians are way too conservative sexually for my tastes (very odd for the people who gave us the Kama Sutra). I used to work in a photo studio that had a pretty big Indian clientel, and it seems that Indians don't like to smile. I think the cultural differences are too much for me to be happy in a relationship with an Indian, but more power to those who disagree. | |

Posted: 6/3/2006 10:19:23 AM | I like anyone with good values. Period. Sure, someone who is East Indian will have a different religious background, and certainly a much different cultural background...but if she values herself and stands up for her beliefs, that's attractive.
I know that tradition is much more highly regarded even still, in the East Indian culture then it is here in the States. One woman I dated a few times...well her parents thought I was a good guy, but I was not of her "culture" and while they were supportive of us as friends, they weren't so sure about us dating. Mostly because if things eventually progressed and we'd had children, what culture do you raise them with? Both? Either? Neither? I understood their point. It was more than valid. I think that's a big discussion that needs to occur if the person you're dating and plan to be with is from a different cultural background than yourself. | |

Well, aside from religion,... there is a level regarding the caste systems of each (come on there is one in the west too). There are also those regarding marital arrangements too!
