If you mean the vote box on this thread, no worries it is on every new thread. If you search new feature you can find more information on it. I don't see any negative votes on this thread, yet...lol.
I think stunt driving would be cool, but I really have no clue where one is. I do know that some race tracks teach how to drive race cars and that can be a good licence to further your abilities. The tracks that teach racing might be able to help you as well.

| Stunt Driving Posted: 6/4/2006 8:32:16 PM | not sure if you can find it online but my old neighbour owns a stunt company based out of toronto called stunt city, professional stuntmen inc.
they did tons of movies and i know he himself was a driver in quite a few flicks including driven, with stallone
other than that you could check out the track training at the local speedways (ie mosport)

| Stunt Driving Posted: 6/5/2006 11:57:45 AM | I know that there are schools in Ontario that teach you performance driving, not so sure about stunt schools.
as far as having threads deleted - I've also posted a thread about special interest vehicles and getting some ppl together for cruises I put on and it too was deleted. I was warned that re-posting a deleted thread could get ya kicked out of the forums or worse.

| Stunt Driving Posted: 6/5/2006 12:03:20 PM | | if you go to the coarse at the police college, they'll teach you how to drive with a donut in one hand, and a radio in the other.....pretty cool. | |

Ever consider building a demolition derby car for a local fair? you get to run into people legally. It's a great stress reliever! And if you drive like enough of a nut. You may flip the car. The other option is do the roll-over competitions.

| Stunt Driving Posted: 8/17/2008 5:43:15 PM | If someone really wants to become a "stunt driver" the first they need to learn is car control. A book or movie is not going to teach you anything other than theory. The best place to start is racing school, bridgestone and Mt Tremblant have schools that are reasonable. Once you can master car control then maybe look at the "extreme" driving schools, they are almost all in the US or France (France has some amazing stunt drivers). If you want to get into stunts in general, try and find a stuntperson that will teach you and possibly help you get into the business. Like almost any position/career in th efilm industry, its who you know... Try Stunts Canada out of Vancouver or Havoc stunt services in Toronto. | |

| Stunt Driving Posted: 8/18/2008 11:31:17 AM | It's too bad that with the new laws, you can't even find a wide open lot and do some slow speed stuff. When I first started to drive in the winter, I would go to a massive lot that was the size of about 3 or 4 football fields with nothing in the way and learn how my car reacted to different situations. It helped out alot. And I do the same thing when I get a new vehicle, just so I know how it reacts. However, getting caught now you would be charged up the... yeah... A demolition derby car is a great idea, I've done it a few times and you can go as crazy as you want in the ring. And beleive it or not, the guys that do good tend to have alot of driving skill. | |

| Stunt Driving Posted: 8/18/2008 8:04:11 PM | Cdn Medic, they have some awesome tank fields there in Pet. Grab a company Jeep and go 4 wheeling out where the tanks play. That's pretty well where I learned to drive down a 75 degree slope without rolling the vehicle over, It's also where I learned to destroy vehicles consistently, too. | |

| Stunt Driving Posted: 8/19/2008 2:04:09 PM | | I don't have my 404s yet (military drivers license) but I do that course in a few weeks so they "teach" us some stuff. Not sure what they can show a country boy since it's all stuff I do back home for fun! | |

If the course is anything like it was way back when I joined, the kids taking High School driver's ed learn more than that. If you get the chance, and you will, since you are probably mobile command, get into the off road stuff. It's an extra, and believe me, they teach things like traversing minefields and escaping the enemy cross country. If , however, your are not attached to mobile yet, you will have to wait.
edit: Oops, stole the thread from the OP. So sorry about that!
