Intelligence can make a woman beautiful, without intelligence there can be no personality, without personality it is just a porcelien doll, nice to look at, but beyond that... just a hollow shell that can give no satisfaction (my opinion okay, I know there are guys out there that don't care).
Don't get me wrong, it is much better if she is pleasing to look at, but, the personality and intelligence HAVE to be there... If she happens to be drop dead gorgeous (Hi Chels) that is icing on the cake... But I would rather have cute and smart that gorgeous and dumb.

There are tons of things that I think are essential that my friends would turn away (and vice versa). But beauty cannot exist in a vacuum, BRAINS must follow. But to be brutally honest, even if a guy is brilliant, if you're not physically attracted to him - how is one to go farther than a hand shake? By shutting your eyes and remembering your last witty conversation? No thanks! There has got to be a balance of both, for me anyways. | |

Posted: 2/22/2005 8:51:02 PM | Having met plenty of beautiful ladies over my lifespan...brains by far! Yes there has to be some physical attraction (for me anyway), but beauty is in the eye of the beholder after all. I can't count the number of girls I've seen and thought...wow!!!
Then they open their mouth, and I watch them become really condescending to someone, or be rude to the waitress, or what have you, and the beauty tends to fade pretty quick at that point.
Hence perhaps brains are beauty (in the eye of this beholder) | |

Without brains you have no personality so you are like a programmed doll that goes along with what others tell you and what media advertises. The thing that gets me is that so many people assume that if you do have beauty that you are dumb…never really happened to me since I don’t poses to much of beauty but some of my friends were stereo typed that way and I thought it was completely wrong. You can have beauty and brains at the same time. | |

Looks are like nice siding on a house... it will attrack your attention, get you noticed, but until you get in side and check it out, see if it fits you and your personality, you don't know if it is the one for you. If it is nothing but 2x4's inside, chances are... you won't want it...
Or to look it yet a little different... You can look at the cake all you want, but all you see is the icing... But until you actually bite into the cake, you don't know if the middle is to your liking, and you may find out that even the icing isn't all that good either.... (if you have ever eaten a store bought cake you will know what I am talking about)...
